Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Carouthers.
Nicole, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started with acting and then poetry, I would write spoken word and perform during the open mic, from writing poetry I discovered I could write songs, from writing songs, I discovered I could write movies. Each gift has helped the next, and to be honest I’m still discovering other hidden talents God has blessed me with daily.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
By no means has it been a smooth road, Some of my personal struggles have been finding balance as a single mother while maintaining my full-time corporate job along with starting my production company NicNac Productions.

NicNac Productions specialize in producing Indie films and web series. We average two films a year. I am most proud of our web series Deceitful Keystrokes this is an anthology drama series based on social media networks crimes and murders. We also won the best web series 2017 DFW film festival. I’m very excited to call us an award-winning production company.
What were you like growing up?
As a kid, my mom would say “always looking out for Your friends” I always wanted my friends to be good. If my friends didn’t have something and I had it, I would share with them like it’s theirs. In high school, my friend wasn’t going to prom because her mother could not afford her dress. So I begged my mom to buy my friend a prom dress, and she did. I feel like if God blesses you, you must bless others.
