Roman, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Music has the power to transport us to another time and place,” said Zolanski. “I love to harness that power with a broad audience of fellow music-lovers, and passionate musicians alike. Ever since a young age, I’ve found great joy and satisfaction by being involved in the creative music process.
I’ve developed a love for an also iconic, legendary artist “Nicki Minaj”. I was created by her inside of her brain. ‘ROMAN’ is Nicki’s first alter ego she created years ago and now he’s here with us in human form. Roman looks up to many different big-name artists outside of ‘Nicki Minaj’. Artists like NOTORIOUS B.I.G, LIL WAYNE, TUPAC, NAS, MICHAEL JACKSON, TYGA, DRAKE, and more also played a huge part in Roman starting his path to success. Now he’s matched up with his management team and label ZOOBIE ENT/PALM TREE ENTERTAINMENT. Roman is now a BET NETWORK ‘SENSATION’ Artist due to his most recent performance at the BET EXPERIENCE.
He is originally from Atlanta Georgia but started his musical journey in Little Rock, Ar about four years ago. He has opened up for a lot of major mainstream artists and has traveled all over. He now resides in Dallas, Texas while yet still traveling all over the world. He is now apart of the most popular promo team and TV show in the Dallas area, which is “The Starz of Dallas”. Gaining his title as a radio/TV personality. Now he’s getting ready for the release of his new album “The Last King Vol. 2” which I’ve heard is going to be an amazing album with a lot of HOT features. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success is never easy. You’re always going to have obstacles and challenges that you’re going to have to overcome. That’s just life. The thing is how you choose to deal with those hard situations. Personally speaking, I never wanted to be an artist. I never seen this life in my future when I was growing up. I’ve always been a poet. However, my best friend (Du$a) has always been into music and is very amazing I must say. I recited one of my poems to her one day and she was astounded and said: “Have you ever said that to a beat?” I said “No” she took me to the studio at that exact moment I heard myself for the first time on a track and from that point on I HAVE NEVER STOPPED.
Now I have so many accomplishments from this career and have did nothing but EXCEL since day 1. The most amazing part of it all is that it’s something that I now GENUINELY AND LOVE to do. My music comes from my heart and my soul. So with that being said, its all about how you take those challenges and obstacles and use them for your GOOD. We might not know why we go through things but we have to embrace those moments we want to throw away and forget. That’s what makes it easier for us to forgive and let go. Yours affected by three things in life and that’s YOUR ENVIRONMENT, YOUR ASSOCIATION, & YOUR INFLUENCE. If those three things are positive then you have a better chance at a more positive outcome in life. If those things are negative then you need to change somethings around. Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I am a bet networks international sensation recording artist. I’m a rapper specializing in the hip/hop genre. However, I love to jump into different genres like “pop” “reggae” & “r&b”. I’m a very versatile artist and is very unpredictable. That’s what makes me unique and stand out from the others. I do what everybody else afraid to do.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite childhood memories is one day I was over my dad’s house and we decided to go visit my aunt. Now I’ve always been a very active child and always love to dance. I still do and my aunt knew and still know that. So we went over there had lunch laughed and talked, etc. Out of nowhere, my aunt asked me “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Keep in mind I’m only like 5 or 6. I jumped up stretched my arms to the ceiling and screamed to the top of my lungs “A MOVIE STAR!!!!” LOL LOL LOL.
My family and my aunt still talk about that moment to this day.
