So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Nine years ago, I was looking for something unique for my daughter’s birthday. I found a book on making cake pops and I thought I would give it a try. They were not great at all, but I enjoyed the challenge and decided to try again. After lots of practice, I started making them for all my family events. Then friends requested them for their events, and so the Cake Ballerina was born.
We cover everything from birthdays, weddings, sporting events, and gift bundles. We love what we do and more than anything we love being a part of your special day!
We are currently an online shop only. We are located in the McKinney/Frisco area but service all of Dallas and Fort Worth. We offer pick-up and delivery options!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Just like any business it takes time to grow. When I started the Cake Ballerina, I was working full time, so I would make cake pops at night and during the weekends. This continued for years, working nights and weekends trying to build my clients. Thankfully the long days and hard work paid off and as of last year, I was able to quit my day job and do what I love, be the owner of The Cake Ballerina full time!

The Cake Ballerina makes custom cake pops for every occasion! We are honored to be a part of people’s birthdays, baptisms, weddings, holidays and just to help brighten someone’s day.
We specialize in creating custom pops that accent any event. With over 100 designs to choose from we can provide our customers with the perfect pop!
Our cake pops are made fresh to order. We have perfected our baking and rolling method to make the most delicious, moist cake pops you have ever tasted! Just ask our customers!

- Classic Designs – $30.00 a Dozen – These include swirls, sprinkle pops, and simple designed cake pops
- Decorated Cake Pops – $35.00 a Dozen – These cake pops include custom accents to match your requested theme!
- Custom Cake Pops – $37.00 a Dozen – These cake pops are unique in shapes and designs and include multiple designs per dozen
