Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Coles.
Tina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started doing hair at a young age and took my hair schooling in high school. After a couple of years in the industry, I decided it was time to advance my training by doing an apprenticeship at Jovie Salon under Julie Chung. I advanced to educator within the salon and decided it was time to move my career to the big city where I built my Dallas Clientele at Salon Pompeo where I worked for eight years. After a long successful run there, it was time to start my sole proprietorship and landed on Hair Revival Studio, where the salon’s mission matched my vision and I have been collaborating for four years. Everyday, I love my career and making the people of Dallas feel their absolute best.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggle for me along the way was being at the highest point as a master stylist and educator and leaving it all to start from scratch. But Deanna, the owner of Salon Pompeo kept me on my toes and my clientele grew.

I believe what sets me apart is my ability to connect with my clients. By being an open book myself. But also being open to anyone’s hair needs no matter how big or small. The educator in me wants to help people understand Hair.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
For me, it’s collaborating with my clients to find the look that will suit them. From their vision pictures to expectation and reality-based upon their lifestyle
