Today we’d like to introduce you to Jered and Casi Kriewall.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Jered and I met back in 2012 while I was working for a small, boutique clothing line, and he was working at an Arlington screen printing company. We like to joke that the t-shirts brought us together, and it didn’t take long for us to fall in love! Jered had been working for the same company since he was 15 and shared to me his dream of owning his own screen printing shop one day. With a business degree, I was totally on board.
YourTees was brought to life only three years later. What started out as a side hobby printing a couple of times a week in our family friend’s garage has now turned into a full-time, full-service screen printing and embroidery business. Our dream of making people excited about t-shirts has finally come true!
Has it been a smooth road?
While we do feel like we have been blessed to have had the success that we’ve had over the last four years, we have definitely experienced some of the challenges that come with starting your own business.
One of the biggest challenges we have faced as young business owners is not being taken as seriously when it comes to major business decisions. We’ve had to learn to be assertive and trust the knowledge and experience that we have in this industry.
Another challenge that we struggled with starting out was finding the right balance between work and personal time. Starting a new business is a lot of work! We would find ourselves nearly working 24/7 to keep up during the first couple of years. While we have had to sacrifice some things/experiences, we know that all of the hard work will pay off in the long run. Plus, it helps that we have a wonderful team now who have helped free up some of our time!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the YourTees story. Tell us more about the business.
YourTees is a full-service provider of custom screen printed and embroidered apparel. We specialize in team/school uniforms, company attire, church/school tees, giveaways, or any other idea you want to bring to life.
We are known for quality work, great customer service, and quick turnarounds. In fact, if I can brag about my husband real quick, I would say he has a unique ability to make every customer feel as if their order is the most important one to him. I honestly believe if you were to ask all of our customers what they love most about our company, it would be him.
We are very proud with the service we have been able to provide to each of our customers and love getting to be a part of the Arlington community that we have lived in our whole lives.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We feel fortunate to be in an industry that doesn’t have too many big shifts. However, in this day and age, it is very important to stay knowledgeable about new methods and equipment as things are becoming increasingly digital.
