Today we’d like to introduce you to Maddey.
Maddey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always enjoyed being in front of a camera whether it was for dancing around or acting. Started modeling middle of 2018 for a tattoo artist. I then branched out into doing music videos the beginning of 2019.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Even though I haven’t been modeling for long it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There’s times where I been around negative energy, drama and had to make some sleep sacrifices (still working a 9-5)
Three very important advice:
1. Don’t give up. God has a plan you just have to have patience.
2. Be careful who you associate yourself with. A lot of times the brand or people you’re around the most is how people will view you.
3. Don’t expect everyone to like you. It’s ok. Jesus had haters and he was perfect.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I do music videos (some might call video vixen), I act, and recently been taking on doing makeup also. I am proud to do as much as I’ve been doing in a short amount of time. I bring a lot of good upbeat/smiling energy wherever I go.
What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
There’s a lot of competition. Not too many females support each other because they’re focused on being and looking better than the other person.
