Meet Sharon Ann

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Ann.

Sharon, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It’s incredible when a childhood hobby turns into an adult passion. I’ve spent over 20 years serving at my parents’ church -Committed To Christ Intl.- and over the past five, I’ve been blessed to have my personal ministry, artistry, and appeal extend far beyond my noble beginnings. As a recording artist, songwriter, worship leader, musician, business woman, mother to an incredibly gifted son, model and actress, (I know…it sounds like alot lol) I believe my life, identity and gifts are held together by my love for God. Milwaukee born, I’ve been blessed to write for and perform on gospel’s biggest stages with some of the gospel’s biggest artists such as Tye Tribbett, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton and more. My work with Tye Tribbett, Myron Butler, and Jonathan McReynolds may already be a part of your music collection.
To bring my story to today, I’m super excited because I’m preparing to release my first full album in the summer of 2020! Asaph Ward, grammy award winning & one of the industry’s top producers is overseeing the project. We’ve brought together a number of extremely talented producers, musicians and singers to create a sound unheard of!
I’m grateful for every gift and talent God has given me and I’m committed to being “a light in this world,” using every one of my gifts to do so. From T.D. Jakes’ Mega fest to a musical Festival in London, being featured in the award-winning Indie Films, a commercial photoshoot for Celebrity Stylist J. Bolin or teaching workshops across the United States; I admit some stages can be intimidating, but I remind herself of Jeremiah 29:11. And then I let my light shine.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life hasn’t always been easy, but even after the worst storms, the sun will shine again! Although mistakes, pain, physical & verbal abuse, suicidal attempts, divorce, wanting to give up is all a part of my history, it has prepared me for my destiny. One thing I’m certain of is that God has carried me through it all; He’s forgiving, and His love is unconditional. Not only that, but HE’s placed a village around me to love and support me. I’m truly grateful. I believe my testimony will inspire, uplift and encourage others to remember that “ALL Things Work Together For The Good Of Them Who Love God” Romans 8:28

Please tell us about your work.
I’m a lover of the arts and creative at heart. I’m known for a few things. As a musician & musical artist, I’m passionate about singing and writing songs to inspire the world. I Love God, and I love people. Being a light in a dark world is important to me. We need more positivity. My goal is to be effective and to make a major impact. As a model, I’ve been featured in brochures, commercials, runways and I work with Celebrity Stylist J. Bolin as one of his models for his brand. I also work with Celebrity Hair Stylist & Fashion Designer Darshel Harris, owner of The Big Chop Salon & creator of Excentre’ Designs, as one of the models for her brand. As an actress, I’ve been featured in many plays and indie films.

Everyone has that thing that makes you different or sets you apart from others. It’s incredible that God is so dope that he could create us all to differ from one another yet compliment each other. I’ve learned to embrace what He’s placed in me. I’m pretty eclectic, edgy, principle-driven, outgoing, a daredevil! Yikes. I mean the list could go on and on. 🙂

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Of course, there are plans for the future. Those details are forthcoming. As for now, between being a mother, my career, ministry, and all the aforementioned I’m kept pretty focused and busy. As I stay on course working in those areas I expect them to grow to be Bigger, Better & Brighter. You’ll definitely being seeing more from Sharon Ann in the near future. I’m just getting started.
