Mark and Maria, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
MMV started three years ago in our apartment in downtown Dallas. We have always been passionate about design and dreamed about starting our own business doing what we love. Our vision is to inspire our customers to live better by improving their spaces.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. We’ve had to work day and night, seven days a week, to keep up with our day jobs and business. Finding the right team and customers was one of our biggest challenges when we first started. Risking financial stability when starting a new business can be scary and we’ve found that you will never work harder than when you work for yourself. We guarantee all of our work and we make it a priority to exceed our customers’ expectations. We strive toward perfection each and every day.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about MMV Services – what should we know?
MMV specializes in indoor and outdoor design. We offer a wide range of home improvement services. People call us because we get things done and we are proud to say that our company has grown almost entirely through referrals. Customer service is our top priority and it’s what sets us apart from other businesses. We make sure to walk our customers through every step of the creative process from design and installation to maintenance. Our design process includes 2D and 3D renderings of proposed work to help our customers visualize what the final project will look like.
What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
MMV is an ongoing project for us. We are always looking to reinvent ourselves. We aim to provide our customers with the best service possible, and to offer them more services as we expand and grow. We are currently in the early stages of starting a nursery in East Texas as well as a Christmas tree farm. Our goal is to continue to educate ourselves to stay on the cutting edge within our industry, hoping that we can help other small businesses along the way.
