Amanda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Growing up in Eastland Texas was great for instilling small-town values in me but I also always wanted more than the small-town life! Upon moving to the DFW area and enrolling into esthetic school in 2008 I was so impressed with the city life that I have never turned back! I have now been an esthetician for 12 years and started Harper Blvd almost five years ago. August 1st 2020 will be our five year anniversary. With 12 years’ experience, you really start to understand and get the feel for what women are looking for when it comes to beauty a youth. Our professional team here at Harper Blvd have all been trained on delivering an exceptional experience from the second you walk through our doors.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
About two years in and feeling extremely discouraged I tried to close the doors of Harper Blvd. At that point I was a single mom barely making rent. Luckily, I was stuck in a lease that they wouldn’t let me break so I had to pull through. That is when I decided to add Microblading to my service list.
Please tell us about your business.
We offer Microblading, brow services such as lamination henna and tints, all skin care services, eyelash extensions, teeth whitening, All of our services leave our clients with instant and lasting gratification.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have learned the value of social media much sooner.
