Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystal Williams.
A native of Saint Rose, Louisiana, a mere 15 minutes from New Orleans, Krystal has been intrigued with the spirits industry for years. New Orleans is known for many things: amazing food, world-class parties, and signature alcoholic beverages & creations. Krystal draws her inspiration, quite literally, from the latter 2. Into her early adult years and growing up in New Orleans, Krystal hosted many parties and events where she easily saw approximately 65% of the costs going towards spirits, wine, and beer. During this phase of her life, the business mind kicked in and Krystal set a goal for herself – “One day I will own my own portfolio of alcohol brands.”
Krystal’s journey to the present day is not without challenges or obstacles. In November 2018, she almost lost her life. Krystal was hospitalized for seven days with a serious health concern. While facing a serious medical condition, and self-reflecting on her life, Krystal realized she was basically treading water through life. “I literally have nothing for my kids to inherit and nothing to live off,” said Krystal.
God speaks to people in mysterious ways. It was then that God spoke to Krystal and challenged her with taking control of her life and that of her family. Now was the time to follow her dreams. Shortly upon leaving the hospital, Krystal immediately created Edgy Spirits Holdings, LLC and embarked upon the journey that led her to KLASÉ Vodka – an ultra-premium French vodka distilled from grapes.
“I finally found the courage to pursue my dream of owning a liquor brand. The joy I have experienced throughout this journey so far has been amazing and I hope I’ve been able to bottle a little bit of my ‘Spirit’ for each of you to enjoy. I will continue to say drink Klase’, where you find Class in every Glass.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road have been rocky within the last few months of Covid-19. My product is made in Cognac, France and everything has been shut down. Again, I have been in and out of the hospital a d on another road to recovery and last, but not least, funding have been tough. But when there is a way, there is a will!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Klase’ Vodka – what should we know?
Formed in February 2019, Edgy Spirits Holdings, LLC, was formed for the pursuit of Excellence in Spirits. Exclusively owned by Krystal Williams, Edgy Spirits Holdings, LLC is headquartered in Texas. “There are many established brands on the market today,” says Krystal. “We are simply looking to add a little bit of something new out there and give people something to get really excited about.”
KLASÉ Vodka is produced in Cognac, France. This ultra-premium vodka is craftily distilled three times and is made with French grapes and Artesian spring water. The end product is smooth and subtle, with a sultry finish that compliments an amazing night out on the town. “We are very proud of KLASÉ Vodka. A lot of patience and perfection was invested in this vodka. Not only were I excited to debut KLASÉ to the world, but having KLASE’ Vodka at New York Fashion Week in February 2020 has been amazing. Also to receive a Bronze medal from San Fransisco World Spirits Competition in March 2020 was nothing but an amazing achievement for KLASE’ Vodka. I am excited to continue our pursuit of excellence in spirits with many new exciting brands in the years to come.” Krystal Williams
I am most proud of being able to start up generational wealth for my kid’s future. What sets me apart from others are I am a young lady that comes from a small town who worked to make this happen. I’m not rich, like most of the people who own a liquor brand. I used my paychecks and lived paycheck to paycheck to get started with no help.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
When someone is committed, they will have the determination to achieve what they want and will keep trying to reach that goal. Success and commitment go hand in hand! Most successful people will believe in themselves and their goals for success, they will become committed to achieving it.
When you believe in what you are trying to succeed, you believe in yourself and what you can do. Therefore, you are very likely to become committed to proving to yourself that you can succeed. People who are not committed will find this very hard as they could lose focus on their goals and give up before they reach success.
