Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabelle Albert.
Isabelly’s was founded by Isabelle in 2010. She is a native Texan. Born in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Richardson High School. Her focus in school was always the arts. She graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a BS in photography and the arts. She has always followed her love of form, function and structure. This love of artistic design eventually let her to chocolate! Chocolate, a medium that allows a broad spectrum for her creative expression!!
“Art has always been my passion. I was painting at a very young age, engaged in photography, ceramics, and later in life, fell in love with culinary art! I became inspired making cake balls and chocolates. After getting married, I started experimenting in chocolate. Creating beautiful treats for my family and friends was exciting. I love seeing people light up when they see and taste my sweet treats. The ability to express myself through food is extremely rewarding especially as I watch everyone enjoying the treats I make. Eating tasty art is a terrific. Spending time visiting chocolate shops in Santa Fe, New York, San Francisco, Miami and Mexico inspired me to start my own business. Seeing others making art out of chocolate and candy, and making it a reality showed me I could make a business out of what I love to do!”
Isabelly’s began at the Dallas Market Center. There Isabelle won Dallas Market Center’s “Dallas Gourmet Gold Award” in 2012 for “Best Chocolate/Candy” with her “Mexican Chocolate Cake Truffle”. The same year, 2012, she was awarded a second “Dallas Gourmet Gold Award “for “Best Dessert” with her “Strawberry Cake Truffle”.
Building on her early success and because of her growing business, in 2014 she opened a storefront at 200 E. Main Street in the heart of Richardson, TX. In that same year, she won “Best Cake Balls in Dallas” by The Dallas Observer. Isabelly’s quickly expanded their product offerings with French Macarons, Chocolate Truffles, Bon Bons, Barks, Toffees, and Caramels.
In 2016 Isabelly’s French Macaroons were awarded “Best Dessert in Richardson” by the Richardson Living Magazine. That same year Isabelly’s was also awarded “Best Kept Secret in Richardson” by the Richardson Living Magazine.
“We do not use depositors or mechanical chocolate making equipment. Everything in our shop is handmade!! Our gourmet cake balls, brownie truffles, and fine chocolates are elegant, unique, trendy as well as yummy to eat.

In 2016, Isabelly’s added small batch, hand-made, ice creams, gelatos and sorbets to their in-store offerings. Isabelly’s has steadily grown over the years through word of mouth and wholesale orders.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road growing my business. Some struggles that we deal with are keeping a fully stalked inventory, increasing company exposure and finding good employees. Finding the right people to become part of my family business is the key to success. We are fortunate to have some wonderful people as the “heart” of our business today.
Isabelly’s Chocolates and Sweet Treats – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Isabelly’s is known our unique shaped cake balls (best in Dallas/Richardson), our fine Belgium chocolates and our handmade French macarons. We have won many awards on our products and continue to innovate and expand. Our shop is family friendly, beautiful and inviting with room for 20 or more. Sit and relax, enjoy an Italian espresso coffee, Italian soda or brewed in the shop tea while you enjoy a selection of our treats.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment to date happened the day we opened the doors at Isabelly’s and the first customer walked through the door to purchase our cake balls and chocolates.
