Today we’d like to introduce you to La Trisa Edwards.
La Trisa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Styles’ The Salon was established in 1995. Located in Richardson, Texas. (22years ago!) I was blessed to open a 7 station full service salon. As I look back thru the years I can truly say that my clients are the best! Many have been with me throughout this whole journey, and I am grateful.
As time went by I incorporated the The Beauty Center inside of the salon. Selling wigs, hair, and retail products. Although the market was tough to compete with big beauty supplies, we survived. Loyal clients, family and friends made it all possible.
Styles ‘was at the 1st location for 13years and as the economy took a hard turn I down sized and moved to a new location. Still located in Richardson, I am currently here now. Grace and Mercy has been with me throughout this faithful business journey. In April of 2016 we introduced a new line to called Paparazzi Accessories. We are your one stop shop headquarters. You can come for all your hair care needs pick up any home maintenance care and leave with any accessories you may need to complete your look!
I am thankful for everything and everyone who has touched my life in any way and my prayer is that anyone that I have encountered that they can say the same.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Life is full of challenges but I can say being faithful brought me through it.
Please tell us about Styles’ The Salon.
Styles’ The Salon is a hair salon that specializes in cuts, colors, extensions, and African American hair care. We carry an array of products and also retail Paparazzi Accessories. I am proud to be able to say we have serviced this community for 22 years. Being timely and consistent says a lot.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over again I would work on male clients and provide different services to them.
