Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Frakes.
Kristin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always been interested in photography. I was the girl in school who carried a disposable film camera with her almost everywhere. Whether it was taking snapshots of friends, or the sunset in my home town, I loved capturing those moments in time. After I moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area I was introduced to the modeling industry, and that’s where my passion for photography really flourished.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think every photographer experiences different struggles throughout their career, but my love for the art has kept me on this path. Of course we all have our moments of doubt, but pushing past that and continuing to learn from your mistakes is what life is all about. I enjoy learning new things as I grow my business, and I will continue to deliver my best to all of my clients.

I love photographing families, kids, couples, and senior portraits. Making sure my clients are comfortable and are having fun during our sessions is my top priority. I don’t like over posed photos, so capturing those sweet candid moments between families is my absolute favorite! I feel that my positive energy and calm demeanor reassures my clients and helps us to produce portraits that they will treasure forever.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I don’t see any big changes coming in 2018. Most of all, I want to focus on building strong relationships with my clients. I hope to shoot as much as possible and continue to expand my knowledge of photography and editing.
