Meet Andrea Henderson of Khapture Photography & Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Henderson.

Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I feel that God has taken me through different stages in life to reveal my purpose. As long as I can remember, I’ve always had a camera in my hand of some sort. Whether it be a disposable camera or the latest point and shoot, I had the camera and would be the designated “photographer”. Hey, what do they say, a camera is just a tool, right. Well, my life was documented from a baby through college and I have physical memories that I can hold in my hand and show my children to prove it.

Fast forward to 2011, I married my better half. At this time I was more into creating as the thought of being a photographer had not come to mind. I basically bought all of Hobby Lobby and would create, recreate, and repurpose. My husband saw potential in me and invested in my first DSLR camera to better showcase my creations.

From there, I started documenting our children and would be asked to photograph other families as well. Although I have always loved to document memories for myself so I can relive them, it quickly became my passion. Here I am now, a wife, a mother, and a homeschool mom with the privilege to teach my children to reach for the stars. Nothing is impossible if you believe. Trust the process, it has its ups and downs. But I would not be where I am today if I had not walked out on Faith.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing in life comes easy. If you want it, you’ve got to get out and go get it. The biggest challenge for me is finding a balance between being a wife, mother, homeschooling mom, networking, and work. Busy season is a trying time for me but I just keep pushing. God has brought me this far, it’s left up to me to put in the work to continue the journey. It is a rewarding experience for sure!

Please tell us about Khapture Photography & Design.
Khapture Photography & Design is an experience. I specialize in Wedding and Families, documenting the place they are in life at that moment. The experience includes wardrobe and location assistance to choosing wall art to hang in their home. I will even go as far as coming to hang the art for you. I want clients to print! I offer high-quality products like canvases, albums, and art collages.

Printing your images takes your investment a long way versus hoarding digital files. What sets me apart is my willingness to help wherever possible, patience, understanding our client’s situation, and love. My sessions are fun and relaxing for everyone. My keen eye for detail and knowledge of light is what makes every wedding and session unique.
