Meet Stephanie Novarro of Sweets and Treats

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Novarro.

Stephanie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up on Long Island, NY where there are Italian bakeries practically on every corner. Ever since I was a little girl I had a passion for baking. I remember spending countless days in the kitchen as a kid making cakes and cookies. When I got older I decided to attend a Culinary school where I studied baking and pastry arts. However at the time baking was just a hobby that I did in my spare time.

When I moved to the Dallas area I soon realized that many of the treats that I loved so much were not sold here. After receiving such great feedback from friends and family in the area I decided to turn my hobby into a business, and in 2017 I started Sweets and Treats.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Since I started Sweets and Treats the feedback I have received has been great. My biggest struggle is with marketing the business and letting people know that I am here. I have started to use social media to spread awareness and will be participating in vendor fairs in the coming months.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sweets and Treats – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in baked goods that you would find in an NY Italian Bakery such as Rainbow Cookies, Black and Whites, and Italian butter cookies to name a few. I also offer edible image printing which allows me to turn almost any image into a tasty treat. This really sets me apart from others in the area because I am not just offering cakes and cupcakes.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am looking forward to growing my business and in the future, I hope to be well known throughout the entire metroplex and not just within the Little Elm area.
