Today we’d like to introduce you to Lady Grimoire.
Lady, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Well, where to start haha. I guess my whole life I grew up loving horror movies, and honestly when I was a young girl my style kind of came to me in a dream in the form of a beautiful girl dressed exactly how I dress today, when I awoke my mind was made up! I was going to be that girl! I should also mention that this was years before I even knew Goth existed. Honestly, I had considered modeling in the past and even dabbled in it but my boyfriend really pushed me to pursue it (And he’s also now my personal photographer) which you actually just had an interview with him about his band Redimere! I’ll actually be modeling in some of his upcoming music videos and I’d also like to add I’m a violinist and I have plans to incorporate that into my works so definitely stay “tuned” for all that haha!
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
So what I like to do as a model is combine both my personal style and love of horror movies and create a photoshoot off of a unique story I create and then potray it in my art! So far, I’ve had some great successes in my first year alone, being featured on brands pages such as Lovepainandstiches, belialclothing, uniqso, and TheMadBombers to name a few! I also really love going to conventions in some of my photoshoot outfits I’ve put together and meeting fans, making new friends and also shopping at all the amazing stores (I’m a bit of a shopaholic haha)! As to why I do this, it’s just fun and a passion for me! If there was a message of inspiration I would say do what you love and be bold enough to try new things even if it’s scary (get it. cause I’m a horror model. boo!)
As for what everyone should know about my art? I create all my photoshoot story concepts just the same way a musician begins writing a song or a painter begins painting on a canvas, I come up with a concept and go from there, so every photoshoot is different and unique!
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I would define success as the happiness you gain from making your art, because if you’re not happy doing it, why do it in the first place? If you don’t get some kind of gratification within yourself for making your art, can you really call yourself successful?
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My work can be found on both my Facebook page and on Instagram! I’ll provide the links below! As far as supporting me? Just follow my pages and enjoy my artwork! If you enjoy my art give it a like and leave me a comment! I try to reply to everyone as long as they are polite and respectful!
