Jason, Founder of Five Star Event Services and Venue @ McKinney Town Center may be the best-kept secret in North Texas. In short, the man simply loves a great bash!
Jason founded Five Star Event Services in November of 2009 after identifying a need for his clientele, a one-stop-shop for Wedding & Event services in the North Texas market.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Along the way, we experienced many peaks & valleys just like any other new business.
We depended on local Chamber of Commerces such as Allen/Fairview, McKinney and Anna to help us gain exposure within our community and shortly after began to stabilize as we created trusting relationships. It’s been smooth sailing since then!
Because we’ve created such trusting relationships within our community both businesses currently operate on 100% of referral sources.
Please tell us about Five Star Event Services.
The business began to grow its roots by offering clients Bartending, Event Servers and Valet services. Over the years the business evolved and Five Star introduced services for Wedding & Event Planning, Full Service Catering and Event Rentals. Almost ten years later, Five Star Event Services is the only one-stop-shop in the North Texas market that truly offers its clients an a la carte model or all-inclusive package for Planning & Coordination, Event Staffing & Rentals, as well a Full Service Catering.
As one last extension of the business, Jason opened his own Event Center in August of 2017 called Venue @ McKinney Town Center, also located in historic downtown McKinney. In addition to all the services we offer our clients we can also offer them a venue to host their Wedding or Event.

- Our Full Service Catering is priced as low as $14.95 per person and includes salad, dinner roll, butter and entree.
