So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Beautifully Elegant Blog started as an outlet from my 9-5 job. I was a textiles art major in college and have always had a passion for fashion and beauty. My dream has always been to inspire others through fashion, beauty and lifestyle. I want people to look at my blog and feel like they are talking to their best friend. It has always been more of a fun way to connect with those around me. I have met so many amazing friends through this journey and I can’t wait to see what is in store next.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Blogging has not been as easy as I thought it was going to be. I struggle with balancing my life online and personal life. Blogging doesn’t have a set schedule, so I find myself having to set a time limit on how much work I devote to spend on it each night. My advice to those of you who might be starting out is that don’t focus on the numbers and make your voice stand out from others who might be doing the same thing. It can be really easy to get caught up in who has more followers or who might be doing better than you, but if you focus on your journey I think that is all that matters.

My blog is fashion and beauty focused. The majority of the items I share are affordable clothing and beauty items that I love. I never share anything that I wouldn’t recommend to my friends or family or that I wouldn’t use myself. I am all about a good deal, so I focus on sharing items that are more affordable and can be worn both to work and out on a date.
