An Inspired Chat with Leisha Anders of Lancaster neighborhood

Leisha Anders shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Leisha, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I am one of those individuals that wakes up in the morning excited to be alive. I take care of my hot breath. I then plank and pray. I ride my bike for an hour to balance my energy and then I stretch and sit still to direct my intentions for the day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey there readers, my name is Leisha Anders. I am a Percussionist, Visual Artist, Chi Nei Tsang practitioner, and Alternative Health Educator. I have worked to bring all of my gifts together to help others during these historical times in 2026. Painting and drumming are great loves in my life, so I put them all together.

I have created two classes for wellness. The first one is DruMeditation. A class that includes Taoist breath work, which activates the body’s self healing abilities. I include Legumeatsu, a form of acupressure, to aid in detoxifying the body while decompressing the mind. I then include live drumming to increase the vibrational frequencies for a deeper healing outcome.

My second class is called Psoas Pizzazz, an Art Class for Wellness. It is a 3 workshop that includes an Western, Eastern, and Energetic point of view for the Psoas Muscle. I include exercises to engage the abdominal area, along with handouts I created to anchor all the information. I completed the Psoas Pizzazz Art Workbook for Wellness (available on my website), that we use during class to complete handouts and deepen the discussion about the healing powers of the abdomen area. The workshop ends with my DruMeditation.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that shaped me the most on how I see myself is the one I had with my maternal grandmother. She told me to have a daily relationship with nature. She shared with me, really love what you do as a career for life is too precious. We practiced walking barefoot in the soil and dreaming out loud while looking at the clouds.

When I was very young, she pulled me aside and told me “My child, the darker the skin, the deeper the blessing. Regardless of where you stand, you will shine.” If you want to be an artist, be the best artist you can possibly be. That gave me a trust in myself that I carry with every step I take today.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
The one kind thing I would tell my younger self now would be to play more. Life is challenging, immense, and always changing. Play more so you can always be in touch with your inner child and listen to your heart.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The belief I am committed to no matter how long it takes is my belief in the power of love. When you practice love, there will be love. Every second. Every day. That includes all definitions of love. We are told all the time what not to do or what we can’t do. How about we just do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
I am tap dancing, break dancing, and moon walking to work now in my life. I have found that level of excitement daily with my new classes that I have created. Now I feel that excited when I wake up and create an outline for my Psoas Pizzazz class. I feel great exhilaration and clarity when I share a DruMeditation that helps others feel better in the moment. So yes,
I am dancing to work and at work!
