Today we’d like to introduce you to Luz Arroyo.

Luz, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I only started painting a year ago I started painting for myself, I always loved fashion sketches. I started following a lot of artists on Instagram the more I saw their painting the more I wanted to paint. I paint because it relaxes me. I love to paint love in every aspect. I create watercolor portraits of people and I get to paint a lot of weddings.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a huge fan of Frida Khalo I paint her a lot. Her life and her art is so interesting to me. I also paint myself a lot too. I paint custom watercolor portraits of people. I paint love, love in every aspect I paint families, kids, babies, motherly love, I also paint a lot of engagements but my most favorite is to paint weddings all of my art reflect love.

The stereotype of a starving artist scares away many potentially talented artists from pursuing art – any advice or thoughts about how to deal with the financial concerns an aspiring artist might be concerned about?
I feel like your success in in your happiness in doing something you love and getting so much back. If you love something work had for it. I try to better myself on my paintings every day and everyday I get more and more people that ether orders my paintings and loves my art.

Most of my art is in my Instagram page. I also have some of my paintings in a new beautiful restaurant in Frisco called Union Bear.
