Check Out Alexa Camacho’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa Camacho.

Hi Alexa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up wanting to be an artist in some form.Later, in high school, I received a lot of support from friends and teachers who encouraged me to pursue a tattoo apprenticeship. So, right after I graduated, that’s exactly what I did.
I completed a two-year apprenticeship.
I’m constantly looking for ways to improve my craft and expand my network. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of everyone who has been part of my journey—whether it was friends and family spreading the word, or fellow artists who shared their knowledge, techniques.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The tattoo industry definitely has its ups and downs. During my apprenticeship, balancing two jobs wasn’t easy. I often felt like my second job was taking away time and energy that I could have been investing into my craft. Once I graduated, I took the risk of leaving that job behind and committing to tattooing full-time.
As artists, I think we’re often our own biggest critics. There’s always a thought in the back of our minds that we could do better or push ourselves further. No matter how much progress we make, it can sometimes feel like it’s never enough. But that constant drive to improve is also what helps us grow.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Tattoo artist,I specialize in Black & Grey Realism, fine-line & floral. Ive been an artist for a year now.
I am home based in Arlington, i want to be a traveling artist.
I’m exited to see what the future holds me and where I will be next!

What does success mean to you?
I define my success by growth. In the tattoo industry, there’s always something new to learn, whether it’s a technique, a skill, or a different way of approaching a tattoo. You never truly stop learning. As long as I’m better than I was yesterday, I know I’m moving in the right direction, and that’s what keeps me pushing myself every day.
