Amber, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my career as a teacher, but I’ve always been a beauty guru and DIY girl at heart. Over five years ago, I discovered my passion for lashing, and that opened the door to a world of opportunities. What began as a love for enhancing beauty has since expanded into multiple creative and entrepreneurial endeavors, allowing me to combine my skills, artistry, and drive to build something meaningful.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Balancing the transition from teaching into building a beauty business came with financial risks, self-doubt, and a lot of trial and error. I’ve faced challenges like building a clientele from scratch, learning the business side of things, and staying motivated when things didn’t move as fast as I wanted. Especially when bills were due and I only had myself to depend on. But each obstacle pushed me to grow, adapt, and stay committed to creating something of my own.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In my work, I specialize in beauty and creative services that span across lash artistry, education, and custom creations. I offer lash styles of all types, as well as lash trainings and retail products designed to support aspiring artists entering the industry. Beyond lashes, I also provide protective styles and create handmade crafts and custom floral arrangements. What sets me apart is my ability to blend artistry with teaching, helping others grow while continuing to expand my own creative vision.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t just about money or recognition—it’s about freedom, impact, and fulfillment. Success means creating a life where I can use my talents to inspire confidence in others, provide opportunities for aspiring artists, and build something that reflects my creativity and vision. It’s about balance—being proud of what I’ve built while still having the freedom to grow, give back, and enjoy life on my own terms.
