Check Out Ariska Scott’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariska Scott.

Hi Ariska , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into coaching and personal development wasn’t something I planned; it was something I lived through first.

Before becoming a Board Certified Christian Mental Health Coach, I was a Certified Professional Life Coach who had already begun helping women navigate personal growth, mindset challenges, and self-sabotaging behaviors. My work was deeply rooted in my own lived experiences and the lessons I learned while rebuilding myself through difficult seasons of life.

Like many women, I spent years pouring into everyone else while neglecting myself. I’ve experienced grief, identity loss, self-doubt, overwhelm, and the internal battles that come with constantly carrying the weight of family, responsibilities, and expectations. Over time, I realized that many of the behaviors holding me back—procrastination, perfectionism, negative self-talk, lack of boundaries, and emotional overwhelm stemmed from deeper internal wounds and patterns I had normalized for years.

That realization changed everything for me.

As I began doing my own healing and personal development work, I became passionate about helping other women break free from those same cycles. What started as a personal journey eventually evolved into A Bountiful Solution (ABS), a faith-centered coaching and personal development organization focused on helping women identify unhealthy patterns, rebuild their mindset, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Over the years, my work continued to evolve, which led me to expand my training and to become a Board-Certified Christian Mental Health Coach in 2025. That additional certification strengthened my ability to support women from a more trauma-informed and behavior-focused perspective while remaining grounded in faith, healing, and transformational coaching.

Today, through my coaching programs, workshops, speaking engagements, and the SELF-ish SHIFT™ framework, I help women, especially the strong woman who has spent years carrying everyone else, stop surviving and start intentionally prioritizing their healing, growth, and leadership.

What makes this work meaningful to me is that it’s not just something I studied; it’s something I fought my way through.

My mission is simple: to help women move from hurt to healing so they can heal internally, execute externally, and fully become who God created them to be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to build something meaningful while navigating real life at the same time.

While building A Bountiful Solution, I was also balancing a full-time job, marriage, motherhood, and the everyday responsibilities that many women silently carry. There were seasons where I was trying to pursue purpose while still making sure everyone else was taken care of, and that balancing act can become overwhelming if you’re not intentional.

I also had to overcome my own mindset barriers as an entrepreneur. Fear of failure, overthinking, perfectionism, and trying to do everything on my own led me to delay opportunities or question myself more than I should have. There were even seasons—especially after participating in a few business cohorts—where I found myself second-guessing entrepreneurship altogether. Being in rooms that challenged me forced me to confront not only my business strategy, but also my confidence, clarity, and capacity as a leader.

Like many women, I spent a lot of time prioritizing everyone else while neglecting my own needs, goals, and vision. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that passion can start something, but discipline, structure, and self-awareness are what sustain it.

I had to become more intentional about how I managed my time, protected my energy, and showed up for both myself and the people I serve. At the same time, every obstacle helped refine my voice, strengthen my leadership, and deepen my understanding of the women I work with today.

Looking back, I realize the struggles were preparing me for the work I’m now called to do. They taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of doing the internal work while still moving forward externally.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As of July last year, I am a Board-Certified Christian Mental Health Coach, author, workshop facilitator, and founder of A Bountiful Solution (ABS), a faith-centered personal development and coaching organization focused on helping women overcome self-sabotaging behaviors and lead more intentional lives.

I specialize in helping women recognize the self-sabotaging behaviors that are keeping them stuck, many of which they don’t even realize are fueling unhealthy cycles in their lives. These patterns often show up as procrastination, perfectionism, negative self-talk, emotional overwhelm, and chronic people pleasing. Much of my work centers around helping “the strong woman” stop surviving and start healing, leading, and showing up for herself with the same care she gives to others.

What I’m most known for is combining faith, mindset work, behavior-focused coaching, and lived experience in a way that feels both practical and transformational. I don’t believe real change happens through motivation alone. I believe lasting transformation happens when women become aware of the patterns driving their behaviors and intentionally begin doing the internal work necessary to change them.

I’m also the creator of the SELF-ish SHIFT™ framework, a faith-centered approach designed to help women stop surviving and start intentionally reclaiming themselves and their lives. At the core of the framework is S.E.L.F.

S – Surrender: Releasing control and trusting God’s plan over our own hustle.
E – Elevate: Raising our standards, mindset, and spiritual capacity.
L – Lead: Moving from reacting to life to intentionally leading it.
F – Flourish: Moving beyond survival mode and stepping into healing, growth, and wholeness.

The SELF-ish SHIFT™ framework has become the foundation of my work across my 1:1 coaching programs, the SELF-ish Society monthly membership community, and digital products designed to support personal growth and healing.

What sets me apart is my authenticity and what I call being H.O.T.—honest, open, and transparent. I don’t believe in pretending to have it all together or teaching from a place of perfection. Everything I share is rooted in both professional training and real-life experience, which allows me to connect with women in a way that feels genuine, relatable, and judgment-free.

I’m also continuing to grow in my leadership and communication skills as I step more intentionally into speaking and facilitation opportunities, including recently joining a local Toastmasters group to further develop my voice and impact.

What I’m most proud of is the impact this work is having on women who are finally learning to prioritize themselves without guilt, break cycles that have held them back for years, and recognize that healing and leadership can exist together.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
One of the most important qualities contributing to my success has been resilience combined with self-awareness.

Resilience helped me keep going during seasons where life, leadership, personal responsibilities, and entrepreneurship all seemed to collide at once. But self-awareness is what helped me recognize that constantly pushing through without addressing my own patterns, mindset, and emotional well-being wasn’t sustainable.

Over time, I learned that success is not just about being strong—it’s about being intentional. It’s about having the courage to acknowledge where you need to grow, being willing to unlearn, relearn, and evolve, and continuing to move forward even when things don’t look perfect.

Another quality that has been essential to my success is my ability to provide a brave space where women feel supported enough to be honest about where they are without fear of judgment. I never want women to feel like they have to pretend they have it all together to heal, grow, or pursue purpose.

I’ve learned that when you remain teachable, grounded in your faith, and committed to doing the internal work, you build the kind of resilience and leadership that can withstand challenges and still move forward with intention.
