Check Out Jaylen Meadows’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaylen Meadows.

Hi Jaylen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story in my business starts off by me getting a bad injury playing basketball that basically solidified me not wanting to pursue that anymore. I soon then bought a camera without knowing anything and just started filming and traveling to games with my high school basketball team for free to gain practice in my craft with my camera. Over time after practicing and learning more I started to gain more clients after them seeing my work and eventually branched out to people for bookings and outside of basketball and soon to be outside of sports. I am grateful for the hidden blessing of my injury as I wouldn’t have found a passion for Videography and Photography. My main goal in my field is to make others feel good about themselves by seeing their videos or pictures I make for them and to tell a story about anything and everything.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part it has been a smooth road, some struggles i’d say i overcame was learning how to use editing softwares and spending hours and loosing sleep just to master knowing adobe premiere and other softwares front and back.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What i do for work is Photography and Morley Videography. I am known for and specialize in making sports mixtapes and films, people know me to make eye and ear catching videos for high name/level athletes in the industry. I’m most proud of my growth and seeing where I started to where I am today and where my business has taken me and rooms it has put me in. What sets me apart from others is my drive and knowledge towards my work, I’m very dedicated to what I do and proud to be able to do it at a level I am.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Some advice I’d have for people starting out in my field is too never compare yourself to others when wanting to start a business, everyone moves at their own time. Something I wish I knew when i started out was to have more knowledge in my field as I just jumped in without knowing much.
