Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayode Adegoke.
Hi Kayode, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Raise The Bar was founded from a simple belief: meaningful relationships and access to opportunities can change lives. After spending years building connections across various industries, I saw a need for a platform that could bring professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders together in an authentic and impactful way.
What began as small networking gatherings has grown into a thriving community dedicated to professional development, financial empowerment, community engagement, and relationship-building throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Through a combination of networking experiences, educational programming, and service initiatives, Raise The Bar has connected thousands of professionals while creating opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Since our launch in 2025, we’ve been fortunate to partner with organizations such as Intuit TurboTax, JPMorgan Chase, eXp Realty, Edward Jones, and many other community-focused businesses that share our commitment to empowering individuals and strengthening local communities. These partnerships have helped us expand our reach and deliver meaningful experiences that create lasting impact.
Today, Raise The Bar is a rapidly growing team of thirty professionals dedicated to continuing to serve as a catalyst for connection, helping individuals build their networks, develop professionally, and create opportunities that elevate both their personal and professional lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many grassroots organizations, one of our biggest challenges early on was building credibility and trust. When you’re starting something new, people often want to see proof of impact before they commit their time, resources, or support.
Funding and sustainability have also been ongoing challenges. Creating quality events and community experiences requires significant planning, coordination, and financial resources. There were times when we had to be creative, rely on volunteers, and personally invest our own time and resources to keep the vision moving forward.
Another challenge has been balancing growth with maintaining the culture and authenticity that made Raise The Bar successful in the first place. As our audience, partnerships, and event attendance have grown, we’ve worked hard to ensure every event still feels intentional, welcoming, and impactful.
Despite the obstacles, every challenge has provided an opportunity to learn, adapt, and improve. Seeing the relationships formed, businesses supported, and opportunities created through Raise The Bar has made the journey incredibly rewarding and continues to motivate us to grow and serve our community at an even higher level.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
