Hi Monique, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my journey with a deep passion for fashion, creativity, and storytelling through wardrobe styling. What started as a vision to create opportunities for emerging talent transitioned and evolved into building a platform that celebrates diversity, innovation, and artistic expression. Along the way, I’ve worked tirelessly to curate meaningful experiences from Unieke Mode NYFW runway shows to editorial features in global publications that not only highlight designers and creatives but also elevate their visibility on a larger scale.
Through dedication, resilience, and a clear vision, I’ve grown that initial idea into a recognized platform that continues to expand each season as a growing movement.
Today, I’m proud to lead and produce experiences that bring together fashion, culture, and community, while opening doors for others to be seen, celebrated, and heard.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all but every challenge has played a role in shaping the journey for me with God’s help.
Like many growing platforms, there were many moments of limited resources, building credibility within the industry from the ground up, and navigating the complexities of producing large-scale runway shows and exclusive events.
Gaining trust within the industry and securing the right brand partnerships took time, persistence, and consistency.
There were also behind-the-scenes challenges with timelines, last-minute changes, and the pressure of delivering high-quality productions while managing multiple moving parts behind the scenes.
At times, it required stepping into multiple roles to ensure everything came together seamlessly.
However, those obstacles strengthened my resilience, sharpened my leadership, and deepened my understanding of the industry.
Each setback became a lesson, and each success reaffirmed the vision. It’s all been part of the process of building something meaningful and sustainable for our brand.

Unieke Mode NYFW is a fashion platform dedicated to producing high-impact runway shows and creative experiences that celebrate diversity, innovation, and emerging talent.
We specialize in curating full-scale fashion runway shows and exclusive events during New York Fashion Week and New York Swim Week, bringing together designers, models, stylists, and creatives from around the world.
Beyond the runway, we also focus on editorial placements, brand development, and creating opportunities for exposure through media and brand partnerships.
We’re known for creating an inclusive space where both emerging and established designers can showcase their work in a professional, high-energy environment.
Our shows blend fashion with entertainment, delivering not just a runway, but an experience that resonates with audiences and industry insiders alike.
What I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built and the opportunities we’ve been able to provide. Seeing designers gain visibility, models grow in confidence, and creatives expand their networks through our platform is incredibly rewarding.

What matters most to me is creating meaningful opportunities and authentic representation within the fashion industry.
We are committed to giving a platform to diverse voices
designers, models, and creatives who may not always have access or the resources to spaces to where they can showcase their God-given talents.
This matters to me because fashion is more than aesthetics; it’s a form of storytelling and expression. When people from different backgrounds are seen, heard, and celebrated, it not only elevates the industry but also inspires the next generation of talent.
We also prioritize professionalism, quality production, and community. Every show, collaboration, and opportunity is intentionally designed to create real impact whether that’s helping a designer gain exposure, a model build confidence, or a creative expand their network.
Ultimately, what drives Unieke Mode NYFW is purpose: building a platform that not only showcases fashion, but empowers people and creates lasting opportunities for them.
