Check Out Shajaunna Jordan’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shajaunna Jordan.

Hi Shajaunna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Ladies 1st Sports Agency, LLC was created by Shajaunna Jordan who is a former collegiate scholarship student athlete (basketball) from Chicago, Il. She played 3 sports for 4 years and was top 10 student athlete at Simeon High School. Being an advocate for women in sport comes from her passion and coaching experience at the college level (Seven Years) Shajaunna is currently a Instructor at TCC-NW (Tarrant County College-Northwest Campus) in Lake Worth, TX.

Ladies 1st Sports Agency mission is to provide an opportunity for women to pursue their lifelong dream of playing professional sports. We provide women with the education, proper management, contract negotiation, exposure and experience. My Vice President Angelina Williams is my true inspiration for Ladies 1st Sports Agency creation. She is a former overseas professional of 16 years and a WNBA Champion with the Detroit Shock. When Angelina played overseas her agents did not do the best job for her and ignored lots of her simple request. It was heartbreaking hearing her stories and I vowed to be a moral, ethical and compassion agent for the women I will represent.

The past 10 years I have assisted women with job assignments in over 34 countries, 9 rookies who won their conferences and league championships, One client who has 6 international championships and is now serving in the United States Airforce. We have an active website, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn account. The founder has created the 1st female sports agency app. for women in professional sport, There is also a agent training course for those who want to be come an agent. Her objective is to create a sports industry work place for women and those who want to work in sport. Ladies 1st Sports Agency has graduated over 75 students with college credit to complete their internship requirements.

Ladies 1st has their own house agent in Raina Goodlow and the founder Shajaunna Jordan is WNBA certified.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were lots of struggles. Creating my lane was easy, no one is doing what I am doing. We are Google Verified. We have an interactive website. Networking and working with some individuals was the most difficult adjustment, When your intentions do not algin with others, when loyalty goes backwards, it is time to focus on yourself and make things work for yourself. Everything has been created organically.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

What makes you happy?
Knowing my women are being properly represented and they are able to focus on playing while we manage. Every thing I do gives me intrinsic value.
