Check Out Toni Bowman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Toni Bowman.

Hi Toni, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hey there! I am a wife and mother of three sons. I started life early, as I like to say, “I’m working backwards.” I had twins at 18, began working in Corporate America several months later, and then married at 19. Several years after being with the company, my husband and I began paying off our debt, and then some years after we’d reached our goal, we paid off our mortgage. I had worked the same job for eighteen years while my husband and I raised our sons. Several months after our home mortgage was paid off, I put in my resignation to leave my job. I had sacrificed and finally gotten to a point where I now had the option to work a job or spend the time finding or creating something I actually enjoyed doing. Now, let’s skip to the good part. About six months after being home cleaning, organizing, resting, binge-watching tv, etc., I decided to jump into the blogging world. I didn’t know anything about it, but I wanted to share my story and experiences to help other young moms and wives. I wanted them to know the good and the bad of life as a mom and wife. I share the ups and downs and ins and outs about motherhood and marriage. I also like to display my love for fashion and style as well as share the different places we travel to. I am a lifestyle blogger that is multifaceted, so I share an array of things on my website and social media platforms.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has most definitely NOT been a smooth road, but what is?! The struggles of getting into anything unfamiliar is always scary for me. There’s so much information to learn about the industry that it can become overwhelming. Sometimes, it’s hard to find others willing to help. There’s the mentality of “I’ve done it by myself so you can do the same, or because a person has “made it” they charge astronomical fees to share their knowledge with you. I understand them charging their worth, but a few freebies here and there are also nice. For those bloggers and creators that do understand what it costs them to reach success, but still lean down to give a helping hand, I truly appreciate. It’s those types of blogs, YouTube videos, and social media posts with advice and tips that have continued to help me grow.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As I stated earlier, I am a lifestyle blogger. I help moms and wives live their best lives not only with sharing the glitzy parts but also through the unfulfilled moments of life. My goal is to always share true stories and everyday experiences to inspire and motivate moms and wives on their own journeys! I am known for sharing real-life experiences and intimate details about my personal life. I am extremely proud of the commitment I’ve put into learning this industry to ensure growth, and for the consistency, I continue to give towards building my brand.

What makes you happy?
Being able to wake up every day and choose what I want to do makes me happy. This is a big deal for me because there was a time when I was required to do certain things because of the responsibilities I’d created. Now, I get to decide to work for what I want or be content with what I have and move around as I please.
