Check Out Viktoria Branchstone’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Viktoria Branchstone

Hi Viktoria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a nature artist creating abstract mixed-media paintings inspired by organic elements.

My love for nature started early—I’ve always collected little treasures from the outdoors, like textured wood, resin drops, and delicate branches. Over time, I wanted to bring these elements together in a meaningful way.

A few years ago, I had to leave my home and start over in a completely new place. It was a difficult transition, but nature became my refuge. Texas introduced me to new landscapes and inspiration, and that’s when I began experimenting with materials, techniques, and ways to merge natural elements into my work.

That’s how Branchstone was born—a project that reflects resilience, change, and the beauty of nature. Through my art, I hope to inspire people to slow down, notice the small details, and feel more connected to the world around them.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s just part of the journey.

Moving to a new country was a huge change. I had to leave behind everything familiar—my home, my community, even my creative environment. For a while, I wasn’t sure how to find my artistic voice again.

Then there’s the challenge of working with natural materials. Every piece—wood, resin, moss—has a mind of its own, so I’m constantly experimenting, figuring out how to make it all come together.

And of course, getting started as an artist is tough. It’s not just about making art; it’s about learning how to share it, connect with people, and put yourself out there.

But honestly, I wouldn’t change any of it. Every challenge has pushed me to grow, and Branchstone wouldn’t exist without them.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I create abstract mixed-media paintings that incorporate real natural elements like wood, moss, resin, and leaves. My work is all about capturing the raw beauty of nature and merging it with fluid, abstract forms to create something both structured and organic.

What sets my art apart is the way I integrate these natural materials—not just as decoration but as the foundation of each piece. Every artwork is built around a found object, whether it’s a weathered branch, dried moss, or textured bark, making every composition one of a kind. The process is very intuitive—I let nature guide the design while experimenting with texture, color, and flow.

I’m most proud of creating a style that feels deeply personal and connected to the world around us. Seeing people resonate with my work, especially those who find peace and inspiration in nature, is the most rewarding part of this journey.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I find a lot of inspiration from other artists who work with nature-driven themes. Some of my favorites are Jaclyn Gordyan, Sabrina Merayo Núñez, and Vered Brett—their work pushes me to explore new ideas and approaches.

Beyond art, I love getting a daily dose of nature’s beauty from Killian Schönberger and Supii Lake. Their photography reminds me why I’m drawn to organic textures and landscapes in my own work.
