Community Highlights: Meet Aimee Lee of House of Order

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aimee Lee.

Hi Aimee, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been passionate about creating beautiful, functional spaces that help people feel more at peace in their homes. After earning my degree in Interior Design, I had the opportunity to work for a world-renowned design firm where I led projects around the globe and was recognized for my work. While I loved the design aspect, what I found myself enjoying most was helping people create order, calm, and systems that made their daily lives easier.

As my husband Cody and I built our own family and home, I saw firsthand how much our physical environment impacts stress levels, productivity, and overall well-being. I realized that many families weren’t struggling because they lacked space, they were struggling because they lacked systems that worked for their unique lives.

That realization led us to start House of Order. We combined my background in interior design with Cody’s entrepreneurial experience to create a business focused on helping families transform their homes into spaces that are both beautiful and functional. Today, we help clients declutter, organize, unpack after moves, and create sustainable systems that last long after we’re gone.

What started as a passion for design has evolved into a mission to help people feel more at peace in their homes. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the relief on a client’s face when they walk into a space that finally feels manageable, organized, and truly works for their family.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I think that’s true of most small businesses. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing entrepreneurship with family life. As a wife and mother of three, there are always competing priorities, and learning how to grow a business while still being present for my family has been an ongoing journey.

Another challenge has been educating people about the value of professional organizing. Many people know they feel overwhelmed by clutter, but they don’t always realize that organizing is about much more than making a space look nice. It’s about creating systems that reduce stress, save time, and help families function better every day. Helping people understand that transformation has taken time.

Like many business owners, we’ve also faced the ups and downs of building a client base, refining our services, and learning what works and what doesn’t. There have been moments of uncertainty, but each challenge has helped us grow and improve.

Looking back, I’m actually grateful for the struggles because they’ve shaped the business we have today. They’ve taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of staying focused on our mission of helping people create homes that bring them peace instead of stress.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about House of Order?
House of Order is a professional home organizing company that helps busy families create calm, functional, and beautiful spaces that truly work for their everyday lives. We specialize in whole-home organization, decluttering, unpacking and settling-in services after a move, and creating customized systems that are easy to maintain long-term.

What sets us apart is that we don’t believe organization is one-size-fits-all. Every family is different, so every system we create is tailored to the way our clients actually live. My background in interior design allows me to look beyond simply putting things into bins and baskets. We focus on both function and aesthetics, creating spaces that not only work better but also feel better.

We’re known for making the organizing process approachable and judgment-free. Many clients call us when they feel overwhelmed, stressed, or don’t know where to start. Our goal is to remove that stress and guide them through the process with compassion, encouragement, and practical solutions.

One of the more fun services we’ve added over the years is Christmas tree decorating. It wasn’t something we originally planned to offer, but so many clients kept asking if we could help decorate their trees that we finally said yes. It has become one of our favorite seasonal services because it allows us to bring a little extra joy and holiday magic into our clients’ homes while taking one more thing off their already busy holiday to-do lists.

What I’m most proud of is the impact we have on our clients’ daily lives. An organized pantry or closet may seem simple on the surface, but the real transformation is the peace of mind it creates. We hear from clients all the time that they feel less stressed, spend less time searching for things, and enjoy their homes more after we’ve worked together.

At the heart of our brand is the belief that your home should support you, not overwhelm you. We want people to know that organization isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating a space that gives you more time, less stress, and the freedom to focus on what matters most. That’s what House of Order is all about.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was spending quiet mornings on our back porch with a stack of architecture and design magazines. I was fascinated by how homes were designed and how different spaces could make people feel. I would spend hours studying floor plans, room layouts, and design ideas, then sketching my own home concepts and creating floor plans of my own.

Looking back, it’s funny because I had no idea at the time that those mornings were shaping my future. What started as a childhood hobby eventually grew into a lifelong passion for design, organization, and creating spaces that help people live better. Even today, I still get excited about transforming a space and helping someone see the potential in their home, just like I did when I was sitting on that back porch with a pencil and a dream.
