Hi Dr. Katandria Love, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Fort Worth native through and through — and service has always been at the center of who I am. My journey led me to become a multi-lingual, nationally certified speech-language pathologist, linguist, certified autism specialist, certified public health researcher, and certified in integrative nutrition and lifestyle medicine, among many other specialties. I’ve spent my career working with culturally and linguistically diverse children with neurogenic communication disorders, traveling the world — from Vietnam and Cambodia to Brazil, Italy, Spain, Egypt, and beyond — to serve communities with special healthcare needs. In 2018, I met my husband Keith through a mutual friend, and we married in June 2020 in the heart of COVID. That same month, KLD Consulting was born and our first publication, Cooking to Heal, came to life. When my parents needed full-time caregiving support in 2022, Keith and I made the decision to leave our careers in Manhattan and return to my hometown, Dallas, to serve them. That season of sacrifice became the catalyst for everything we’re building now — a comprehensive caregiver wellness ecosystem rooted in faith, healthcare, and whole-person service.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all easy — and I wouldn’t trade a moment of it. Leaving stable, full-time careers in Manhattan and ministry in the Bronx to return to Dallas as full-time caregivers required enormous faith and patience. Building and growing multiple practices, publications, and consulting firms simultaneously — while personally navigating caregiving — demanded everything. There were moments of deep uncertainty. But our faith has been our foundation. I always say: the most important ingredients for success beyond training and knowledge are a close personal walk with your faith, resilience, and a willingness to be persistent when challenges come. Every trial has sharpened our mission and reminded us why we do this work.
We’ve been impressed with K&K Services, CEO & Clinical Director; Director of Dr. Love’s Healthcare®, Integrative Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine, PLLC, KLD Consulting, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I wear many hats — intentionally. Through K&K Services, we provide multilingual rehabilitation, integrative nutrition, and lifestyle medicine services to youth and families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and internationally. Through Dr. Love’s Healthcare®, a 501(c)(3), we serve communities with special healthcare needs. Through KLD Consulting, Keith and I co-developed the proprietary D.E.M.P.S. Caregiver Wellness Roadmap, a first-of-its-kind tool designed to help family caregivers sustain their own health while caring for their loved ones. And through Dr. Love’s Integrative Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine, PLLC, we personalize evidence-based wellness care for each client. What sets us apart is the intersection of lived experience, deep credentials, and a genuine heart for service. We don’t just treat — we empower. We don’t just consult — we walk alongside families through some of life’s hardest seasons. And we bring a cultural and linguistic competence to our work that is rare and deeply needed.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Absolutely! As someone who lives at the intersection of healthcare, faith, and lifelong learning, the resources I return to most are ones that feed all three.
Books have always been central to my growth. The Bible is my daily foundation — it grounds everything I do personally and professionally. As a business owner, I lean heavily into Dave Ramsey’s must-read list — the financial wisdom and entrepreneurial principles there are non-negotiable for anyone serious about building something sustainable and debt-free. I also stay deeply rooted in medical and clinical literature around culturally and linguistically diverse populations, autism, integrative nutrition, and caregiving wellness. Our own publication, Cooking to Heal, was born from that same commitment to accessible, healing knowledge.
Podcasts are a huge part of how I stay sharp and spiritually grounded. Kelly Roach is one of my go-to voices for business strategy, faith-driven leadership, and scaling with integrity — her no-excuse approach resonates deeply with how Keith and I run our organizations. TK Anderson brings a perspective that speaks to purpose, identity, and walking boldly in your calling. And Dr. Charles Stanley has been a consistent spiritual anchor — his teachings on faith, obedience, and trusting God through every season of life are foundational to how I lead, serve, and show up daily.
Apps and platforms I rely on include Substack for consuming and sharing long-form thought leadership and staying connected to voices that matter; Zoom for seamless telehealth, consulting, and global collaboration — it truly has no borders; Amazon for sourcing clinical resources, wellness products, and everything that keeps our practices running efficiently; and Hootsuite for managing our social media presence across platforms so we can consistently show up for our community without losing focus on the actual work. The 10KSB Connect app has also become an invaluable tool — keeping me connected to an extraordinary network of fellow small business owners, resources, and opportunities even beyond the classroom.
Programs and community have been game-changing for my growth as a business owner. I am a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, Cohort 34, April 2026 — one of the most transformative experiences of my entrepreneurial journey. The program sharpened my business acumen, challenged my thinking, and connected me with an incredible community of driven, purpose-led entrepreneurs. Continuing education events are equally non-negotiable for me — staying current in both the clinical and business worlds is something I take seriously and pursue intentionally. And I cannot overstate the value of trusted business advisors — having the right voices in your corner who will speak truth, stretch your vision, and hold you accountable is one of the greatest investments any business owner can make.
Professional networks like ASHA, TSHA, and the International Association of Logopediatrics and Phoniatrics keep me connected to the larger global healthcare conversation and sharpened in my clinical craft.
At the end of the day, the greatest resource I have is people — the families we serve, the mentors and advisors who pour into us, the Goldman Sachs 10KSB community, and the colleagues who continue to push us toward excellence. Everything else is simply the tool; the mission is always the heartbeat.
