Community Highlights: Meet Eric Gonzalez of Regions Commercial Roofing and Top Crew

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Gonzalez.

Hi Eric, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Yes! As you mentioned, my name is Eric Gonzalez and I am a 25-year-old entrepreneur. I was born to Mexican parents who came to the United States seeking a better life. Then, at 18, I stepped into the business world alone while simultaneously going through college. Now at 25, I am in the continuous pursuit of success. I accredit all of my success to God, my parents, hard work, faith, gratitude, and surrounding myself with the right people. I continuously invest and develop myself by focusing on developing the four significant areas of my life, my spiritual, mental, physical, and social /emotional well-being. I regularly attend networking events nationwide, exercise, and am an avid reader. One of my 2022 goals is to read 52 books, most of which are related to growth and improvement in all areas of life. My intention is to always represent the best version of myself and, through personal gain, grow in all areas of life. While remaining intentional about running two companies, I also like to focus on developing and improving my relationships with those around me. I want to invest and give to others just as much, if not more than I invest in myself. I firmly believe gratitude and love are the secrets to success in life. One of my favorite formulas to follow for success is knowledge creates confidence, confidence creates action, and action creates results.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The obstacles I currently face in life and business are growing pains and others understanding the ideologies I operate out of. When wanting to grow, you will often encounter resistance from others who do not fully understand the implemented changes. There is also pain that comes from increasing the systems and processes within companies while remaining a leader that is open-minded and empathetic. As hard as it is, we must continuously work to overcome the challenges and obstacles life throws at us and choose to use them for our benefit. If we can overcome life’s obstacles, we can become stronger and more resilient. We can sit back and look at how far we have come while encouraging and helping others to do the same.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I grew up in the roofing industry, helping my parents manage labor crews for roofing contractors. I started going to job sites with my parents at a young age. At the time, I did not understand the impact my family’s career in the roofing industry would have on my life; it created the visionary I am today. Combining my upbringing and visionary tendencies has allowed me to implement innovative practices in my personal and professional life. I never want to exist in the world, my intention is always to make a difference. A roof is one of the most essential parts of a property as it protects everything underneath it. I intend to provide my clients with innovative, affordable roofing solutions that protect their property or safe space. However, my mission does not stop there. Not only do I help people in my community, but my goal is to expand it around the world. I want to inspire others in their personal and business life through public speaking and life coaching, something I will continue to grow and expand on in the incoming years.

What do you think about happiness?
In today’s society, it is easy to get caught up in the midst of the world. Many of us focus on becoming the best version of ourselves, making money, or accomplishing our goals. People do not realize that during that process, you often lose sight of yourself and forget to be happy. My goal is always to be involved or part of things that bring me joy and fulfillment; a significant component of staying happy is feeling fulfilled. I attribute my happiness to many things and prioritizing my personal growth while developing things I love helps me stay happy and grounded. However, I believe the ultimate keys to happiness are living in the moment, expressing continuous gratitude and love, and working to grow my connection with God. Lastly, one of the easiest ways to achieve happiness is by continuously developing and contributing to something bigger than ourselves. Contributing towards others’ fulfillment and happiness is important because, at the end of time, people won’t remember what you said but how you made them feel.
