Community Highlights: Meet Jemai Ngoma of Kingdom Culture Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jemai Ngoma.

Hi Jemai, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello Voyage Dallas! My name is Jemai Ngoma, and I am a 26-year-old wife, minister, and entrepreneur. I, alongside my incredible husband Joel Ngoma, am the founder of Kingdom Culture Events. Kingdom Culture Events is a business that God placed on our heart to serve couples throughout their journey from “Yes” to “I Do.”

At Kingdom Culture Events, we coordinate love-centered celebrations ranging from proposals and engagement parties to weddings. We do this because we understand the significance of covenant and the beauty of marriage as God’s design. We believe that wedding planning should be a joyful experience, not a burdensome one.

As couples prepare for one of the most important moments of their lives, our mission is to provide support, excellence, and peace of mind every step of the way. Entering into a marital covenant comes with its own challenges, and our God-given burden is to help ease the stress of planning so that couples can focus on what truly matters—building a strong foundation for their future together.

For us, this work is about more than events; it’s about serving people, honoring love, and helping create meaningful moments that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but there has been grace every step of the way.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Kingdom Culture Events, we specialize in coordinating celebrations that mark significant milestones in a couple’s journey, ranging from proposals and engagement parties to weddings. While we offer a variety of services, we are currently best known for our proposal experiences.

To us, a proposal is much more than a question being asked—it often marks the beginning of a new season, both physically and spiritually. For some couples, the marriage they are preparing to enter will be the first healthy, lasting marriage in their family line. For others, their relationship is the result of years of prayer, fasting, healing, and intentional pursuit of God’s will. Because of this, we don’t view proposals as ordinary moments. We see them as the beginning of something beautiful, significant, and worthy of celebration.

What sets us apart is our perspective on marriage and covenant. While details like flowers, décor, and attire are important, we believe marriage is ultimately spiritual. Our goal is not only to create beautiful events but to honor the significance of the commitment being made. Everything we do is done with intentionality, excellence, and a greater purpose in mind.

Above all, we want our clients to enjoy the season they’re in. We find great joy in alleviating the stress of planning so couples can focus on what truly matters—preparing for the covenant they are about to enter and celebrating the journey that brought them there.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
This is such a fun question! One of my favorite childhood memories is setting up “shop” in the hallway of my childhood home. Even at a young age, I had an entrepreneurial mindset and loved creating little businesses for my family members. One day it might have been a nail salon, another day a massage parlor, and other times a completely new service I had dreamed up.

I vividly remember making handmade coupons, creating special promotions, and even offering buy-one-get-one-free deals. Looking back, it’s funny to see how naturally entrepreneurship came to me. What felt like simple childhood fun at the time was actually an early glimpse into the passion for business and serving others that would later shape my career. It’s a memory that still makes me smile and one that clearly reflects who I’ve always been.
