Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Ramirez.
Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I wanted to help people throughout my career and specifically went to college wanting to be a cardiac sonographer but gods plans be the best plans & he changed my path fast to massage therapy. Throughout my 7 years of practicing I’ve grown a lot not only in my knowledge of massage but in my faith in god because I would not be where I am today without his faithfulness. I started with traveling to peoples homes all over DFW to renting a single room to now having 1,200 square feet spa with multiple practitioners in cultural district Fort Worth tx.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road lots of doubt and fear at first if this will provide my family of 6 enough income to sustain a household. There were times were I only had one client for the week and now I have 40 appointments weekly scheduled for the last 6 months. A big part of the drastic change is social media marketing on social media can really change your whole life. I’ve also gained a reputation of being one of the best massage therapist in DFW that I have clients that drive 3 hours to get therapy with me because I always say the Holy Spirit works through me to get those stubborn knots out. I don’t do this with my own strength alone.
As you know, we’re big fans of Jennspuretherapy & Suites. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business started with a vision I received from the lord at a gas pump the pump stoped at 46.5 and the shirt I was wearing was psalms 46:5 meaning “god is within her she shall not fall” and two seconds later I saw a “for lease” sign and I saw my whole spa. Multiple women making a Christ centered spa setting and after that it went to over drive I had multiple women needing spaces at my spa. I wanted my space to be welcoming to all women needing all things beauty and that’s what it has become. We offer massage, facials, waxing, lashes, and microblading.
What are your plans for the future?
My future plans will be whatever god has I stored for me because my plans can be different from his. But I’ll pray to have another spa opened in the next two years but I want to continue to flourish in my own practice in massage therapy.
