Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Myers.
Hi Katherine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have two art degrees and work as both a tattoo artist and shop owner. I’m currently developing my own products and merchandise for Renaissance festivals, while also pursuing traditional oil painting and learning stained glass artistry. Alongside all of that, I’m navigating life as a new mother to my 5-month-old daughter and a stepmom to my 12-year-old stepdaughter.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some hardships I’ve faced have been learning how to balance motherhood, marriage, and business ownership all at once. Becoming a new mom while running a tattoo shop and continuing to pursue multiple artistic careers has been physically and emotionally demanding. There are a lot of long days, sleepless nights, and moments of self-doubt that come with trying to be fully present for both my family and my career.
I’ve also faced the challenges that come with building a business in a competitive industry, especially as a woman-owned shop owner. Managing finances, maintaining consistency, handling the pressure of self-employment, and continuing to grow creatively while supporting a family has required a lot of resilience and adaptability.
Another challenge has been learning to make time for myself and my personal artistic growth while carrying so many responsibilities. Even through those hardships, I’ve stayed determined to keep creating, learning new mediums, and building a stable future for my family.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
What sets us apart is the level of artistry, creativity, and experience we bring into every part of the studio. My background in fine arts and animation gives me a strong foundation in composition, storytelling, and design, which heavily influences both my personal work and the artistic direction of the shop. I specialize in color work and illustrative realism with a painterly feel, creating tattoos that feel immersive, expressive, and uniquely tailored to each client.
Beyond my own work, our shop is home to six incredibly talented artists, each bringing their own strengths and artistic style to the studio. As a team, we primarily specialize in black and grey work, realism, and fine line tattoos, allowing us to offer a wide range of custom, high-quality artwork while maintaining a strong artistic standard throughout the shop.
The studio itself is also a huge part of what makes the experience unique. We designed it as a luxury tattoo studio inspired by French Rococo and Regency-era aesthetics, creating an environment that feels elegant, immersive, and different from the traditional tattoo shop atmosphere. From the décor to the lighting and furniture, every detail was intentionally chosen for both beauty and comfort. Our clients are tattooed on luxury spa beds, and we’ve invested heavily into making sure everything in the studio reflects quality, professionalism, and care.
I think people connect not only with the artwork, but with the overall experience we provide. We want clients to feel comfortable, inspired, and genuinely taken care of from the moment they walk through the door. The combination of high-level artistry, attention to detail, and the atmosphere we’ve created is what truly sets us apart
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
