Community Highlights: Meet Nickie Marshall of Nickie and Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nickie Marshall.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I became a mother at just 16 years old. It was one of the most life-altering and humbling experiences of my life. Being a teen mom came with more than its fair share of challenges, and life definitely had its ups and downs—beyond. But through it all, it pushed me into my purpose. It made me resilient, resourceful, and deeply connected to the heart of women trying to build a better life—especially those doing it alone.
I’ve always had a heart for creativity, community, and service. I started in real estate nearly a decade ago, helping families find homes, and that journey opened the door to my passion for building—in every sense of the word. From launching Nickie & Co., which includes my faith-based tee boutique, custom branding, and door décor line, to stepping into leadership roles within various organizations—and now proudly serving as the Assistant Board Secretary for NAREB (National Association of Realists – North Texas Chapter) and Cheer League Director with Allen Sports Association-every part of my journey has been purpose-driven.

I’m also the founder of A Beautiful Mess Sisterhood, a women’s empowerment group born out of my own life struggles and healing journey. After taking a step back to focus on personal growth and healing, I’m excited to relaunch it soon. It’s a sisterhood rooted in transparency, healing, and purpose—created to uplift and empower women through real conversations and authentic community.

Most recently, I opened The Kraft Kamp—a creative retail space filled with handcrafted goods, faith-based inspiration, and community connection—and I’m actively transitioning into commercial real estate with a focus on retail and development. My path hasn’t been easy, but it’s been guided by faith, favor, and the determination to turn vision into impact.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. I became a mother at 16, and from there, life came at me fast. There were seasons of struggle—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. I’ve had to rebuild more times than I can count, often while juggling multiple jobs, raising children, and still holding on to a bigger vision.
There were moments I felt overlooked, unsupported, and unsure. But each of those moments refined me. They taught me how to hustle, how to pray, and how to keep showing up even when it was hard. I’ve learned to pivot with purpose, and to trust that every setback was preparation for the calling on my life.

As you know, we’re big fans of Nickie and Company. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Nickie and Company is rooted in creativity, service, and faith—and that’s reflected in everything we do. We specialize in real estate, brand-focused apparel, and handcrafted décor. What we’re known for is our ability to bring vision to life while making people feel seen, supported, and valued along the way.

What truly sets us apart is heart. Every client, every order, every interaction matters to me. I don’t just provide a product or service—I provide a meaningful experience.

The Kraft Kamp is one of the brand elements I’m most proud of. More than just a store or vendor booth, it’s a creative hub where customers can shop, take crafting classes, and find inspiration—a space designed to spark ideas, creativity, and community.

At Nickie and Company, you’ll always find more than something to buy—you’ll find purpose, passion, and a whole lot of heart.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I’m always open to meaningful collaborations that align with creativity, community, and purpose. Whether you’re a fellow small business owner, real estate professional, nonprofit, or someone looking to partner on events, workshops, or custom projects—I’d love to connect.

One of my greatest passions is pouring into single mothers. As a former teen mom, I understand the challenges and the strength it takes to rebuild. I’m currently developing programs to teach single moms crafting skills they can monetize, along with providing resources to help them prepare for homeownership.

If you’d like to collaborate, sponsor a class, host a pop-up, or simply support the mission, I welcome the opportunity to work together and create impact that lasts.
