Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Roberts.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My father’s side of the family would take family trips with their siblings and their kids every other year. I would always have ideas to contribute on where we would stay when we would go on our trips. Eventually I began being asked to plan trips for friends and family. One day it was suggested that I began selling travel because I did it so much for so many people. I Eventually agreed to give it a try and became a travel advisor in 2019. I enjoy connecting with people and learning about what they like to do and where they want to go. Researching destinations and giving reccomendations from my personal favorite places has been fun!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part it has been a smooth journey. In the beginning it took time to learn my niche and develop the clientele I desired. Once I learned what I wanted my focus to be in, I began to get more clients that were serious about traveling and more confirmed bookings.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Coastal Voyages ?
Coastal Voyages is the name of my travel agency. I specialize in curating memorable and high quality Vacations. Vacations include international resort stays, hawaii, puerto Rico, and the USVI, along with cruises for couples, families, honeymoons, groups, weddings, bachelor and Bachelorette parties, baby moons, just because, anniversaries, and so on. Most of my guests ask for all inclusive packages and excursions. I also began itenerary planning as an additional service as well as destination wedding planning.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
One of my high school friends who is also a successful travel advisor helped me get going. She has been instrumental in sharing what worked and what hasn’t, as well as how to grow as an independent agent. I appreciate that she has always been so supportive throughout the entire process and throughout the years.
I am also appreciative of my husband who always brainstorms unique activites and new destinations for clients, family, and ourselves. He has always been in my corner encouraging me to expand even further and helping however I need him.
