Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Kincaid.
Hi Stefanie , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been passionate about sports, health, and helping people stay active — growing up playing competitive tennis and later pursuing my education at Texas A&M and Parker University. My career started with a desire to go beyond traditional chiropractic care and focus on movement, recovery, and treating the root cause of pain. Over time, I built experience working with athletes, active adults, and families, combining rehabilitation, soft tissue work, dry needling, and performance-based care. That passion eventually led me to open Summit Rehab Co., where we created a collaborative space focused on helping people move better, recover faster, and stay healthy long term. Today, I’m grateful to combine being a doctor, business owner, wife, and mom of three while doing work I truly love.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many healthcare providers and business owners, there were challenges balancing advanced education, building experience, and eventually taking the leap into entrepreneurship while also raising a family. Starting and growing a business came with uncertainty, long hours, and learning how to wear multiple hats — doctor, owner, marketer, and mom. There were moments of self-doubt and setbacks, but each challenge helped shape how I care for patients and run my practice today. Looking back, those struggles built resilience and reinforced why creating personalized, patient-centered care matters so much to me.
As you know, we’re big fans of Summit Rehab Co. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Summit Rehab Co., our goal is to provide more than traditional chiropractic care — we focus on helping people move better, recover faster, and stay active long term. We work with athletes, active adults, parents, and everyday individuals dealing with pain, injuries, mobility limitations, or performance goals. Our approach combines chiropractic treatment with rehabilitation exercises, movement assessments, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, cupping, and other recovery techniques to create care plans tailored to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. What sets us apart is our collaborative, all-in-one approach with access to rehabilitation, performance support, and hands-on treatment under one roof. Brand-wise, I’m most proud of creating a practice where patients feel heard, educated, and empowered — our priority is helping people understand their bodies and return confidently to the activities they love, not just providing temporary relief.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was very driven, competitive, and involved in sports — especially tennis, which I played from a young age and eventually ranked in the state of Texas. I’ve always had a strong work ethic and enjoyed pushing myself toward goals, but I was also naturally drawn to helping others and being part of a team. I was curious about health, movement, and performance early on, which ultimately influenced the career path I chose. Outside of sports and academics, I’ve always had a creative side and enjoy building things, whether that’s a business, projects, or finding outlets outside of healthcare. Looking back, a lot of the qualities I had growing up — determination, competitiveness, and caring for others — still shape who I am today as a doctor, business owner, wife, and mom.
