Today we’d like to introduce you to Tam Phan.
Hi Tam , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Started in real estate 10 years ago. Lost in the industry with not much help. Built a good business in Boston and surrounding cities but I wanted more. Wife and I moved to Dallas about 5 years ago. Started over from scratch because we knew the opportunity is here! We had no friends or family in the DFW area. We did everything we can to get business not knowing anyone. Doorknocked to dropping flyers to local businesses. Networking everyday. After 1 year our business grew year over year. We built a business that does over $33M last year in volume. 450+ agents under the real broker umbrella.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
its never a smooth road as a realtor. I struggled to find the right guidance in the beginning stages. Learned from the toughest clients. Ran through some of the toughest situations. Put out the hottest fires. Having a strong team around you makes it easier. it takes time to build the right relationships
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Husband Wife team. Both grew up an entrepreneurs. We both had brick and mortar businesses in the past. It comes natural to learn and build businesses. Our strong suit is helping others wether its agents or clients.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For those whose starting out needs to have a strong mindset. Strong work ethic. Most want to make the money and dont put in the work. Most think about paychecks before clients. Help as many people around you as poosible and business will circle back to you
