Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Clariett.
Candice, a native of Dallas, TX, has been licensed esthetician since 2009. She obtained her licensed in Atlanta, GA at the International School of Skincare, Nails & Massage. She has perfected her craft by working for major companies in the industry. She specializes in waxing, facials and body care. She wanted to provide her passion and skills to the very community she grew up in as a child. She moved back to Dallas, TX in November 2015. She started Candee Skin & Brow Bar in March 2016 and has been thriving since. Her success with Candee Skin prompted her to open Candee Lash of Bishop Arts District in December 2017. She plans to create the same success with the Lash Industry.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road to my success has not been easy. There were challenges but those challenges pushed me into my destiny with determination and faith. I moved back to Dallas, TX after 12 years. No one knows of my business, skill set or stats. I marketed myself very diligently. Marketing is not just online with social media. You have to touch the people directly. I would advise all women young and mature to work hard, have faith and don’t stop learning your craft.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Candee Skin/Candee Lash story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a licensed Esthetician who has experience in all things skin and body. My specialty is waxing and facials. The most I’m proud of is that I have yet to limit or put a cap on what I can do. Candee Brand has amazing reviews and I believe the amazing customer services set us apart from others. We believe in catering to our client’s needs.
Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
When starting your career the most important piece of advice is to learn more about your craft. I always advise students coming out of any program to go work in the field for at least 2 years before venturing out on your own. Learn the business and increase your skill set.
