Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Zgur.
Hi Ana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ana Zgur is an entrepreneur, speaker, mentor, former professional dancer, and founder of Zayaz Entertainment & Events, a South Florida-based company specializing in premium entertainment, corporate experiences, and high-end event productions.
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Ana spent the first 18 years of her life in a low-income community, where she discovered the transformative power of art and dance. Despite growing up with limited resources, she pursued a professional career in the performing arts from an early age, building an impressive trajectory that would eventually take her to international stages.
Throughout her career in Brazil, Ana worked alongside world-renowned artists such as Christina Aguilera, Hugh Jackman, and Kanye West, as well as some of Brazil’s most recognized performers. She was a member of the Youth Company of acclaimed choreographer Deborah Colker and participated in major television productions, live performances, and large-scale artistic projects. She also performed in the international production of “Thriller Live,” the celebrated Michael Jackson tribute musical that has enjoyed years of success in London’s West End and around the world.
Ana’s artistic excellence opened the door to a life-changing opportunity in 2016, when she was invited to audition for the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, one of the most prestigious professional cheerleading organizations in the United States.
The selection process attracted approximately 1,500 women from the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico. Only 40 candidates were selected, including three Brazilian women. Ana became one of the first Brazilians recruited directly from Brazil to join the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, representing one of the most iconic franchises in the National Football League (NFL).
After relocating to the United States, Ana continued her career in entertainment, live performances, and event production. In 2019, she founded Zayaz Entertainment & Events, combining her artistic expertise with entrepreneurship to create exceptional experiences for corporate and private clients.
Today, the company is recognized for delivering premium entertainment and luxury event experiences across the United States. Under Ana’s leadership, Zayaz Entertainment & Events has produced projects for respected organizations and brands including Expedia, Toyota, the University of Miami, Cheney Brothers, Estylo Magazine, and numerous national and international clients.
In 2020, Ana became a mother, an experience that profoundly transformed both her personal and professional journey. As a Brazilian woman raising a daughter in a multicultural family—with a Colombian father and an American-born child—she began exploring deeper questions surrounding identity, belonging, culture, and emotional development.
This personal journey led her to pursue advanced studies in human behavior, family relationships, and emotional health. She became a Parental Neuroeducator, Family Emotional Therapist, and Identity and Relationship Therapist.
Today, Ana dedicates a significant part of her work to helping women—especially mothers and entrepreneurs—who have lost themselves within motherhood, relationships, or the demands of building businesses and careers. Through her signature mentorship program, “Inteira” (“Whole”), as well as private coaching and therapeutic sessions, she helps women reconnect with their identity, strengthen their self-worth, develop emotional intelligence, and reclaim leadership of their own lives.
In recognition of her impact in emotional health, human development, and women’s empowerment, Ana received the Golden Eagle Award in 2025 in the Mental Health and Human Care category.
Her work in emotional wellness and immigrant identity has also earned recognition among professionals in the mental health field. Ana was selected to join a group of contributing authors for the book “Mentes Migrantes” (“Migrant Minds”), a collaborative publication created by mental health professionals to explore the psychological, emotional, and cultural challenges faced by immigrant communities. Her contribution combines professional expertise with personal experience, offering a unique perspective on resilience, belonging, identity, and adaptation across cultures.
Ana is also a columnist for Vives Bien Magazine, a Latin American publication where she writes about identity, motherhood, relationships, emotional development, and the challenges women face in today’s world. Through her articles, she shares insights and practical tools that empower women to cultivate emotional awareness, strengthen self-esteem, and build lives that are aligned with who they truly are.
From a favela in Rio de Janeiro to building a successful business in the United States, Ana Zgur has created a life and career defined by excellence, courage, and a commitment to transforming lives. Today, her work bridges entrepreneurship, human development, and emotional health, impacting women, families, and multicultural communities both within and beyond the United States.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my biggest challenges was starting over in a new country without speaking either English or Spanish. Beyond the language barrier, I was far away from my family and support system, which meant learning to navigate life, business, and motherhood largely on my own.
Understanding a new culture, adapting to unfamiliar systems, and learning the legal and business processes of a different country required resilience, patience, and continuous learning. Building a business while creating a sense of belonging in a new environment was not always easy, but those challenges ultimately shaped my strength, independence, and determination.
Looking back, every obstacle became part of the foundation that allowed me to build the life and career I have today.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I shared many details about my professional journey in the previous section, but what I am most proud of is my ability to reinvent myself.
My career began in the performing arts, where I worked with internationally recognized artists and became one of the first Brazilian women recruited directly from Brazil to join the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders. Later, I founded Zayaz Entertainment & Events, which has grown into a successful company serving major brands and organizations across the United States.
What sets me apart is that I have built successful careers in different fields—from entertainment and entrepreneurship to emotional health and women’s development. Today, my work focuses on helping women reconnect with their identity, confidence, and purpose, especially mothers and entrepreneurs who have spent years putting themselves last.
For me, success is not only about professional achievements; it is about using my experiences to create meaningful impact in the lives of others.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is knowing that my presence made a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
As a mother, nothing compares to spending quality time with my daughter. There are no words to fully describe the joy of watching her grow, learn, and discover the world. Those moments remind me of what truly matters.
Professionally, happiness comes from impact. It is hearing an event client say, “My event would not have been the success it was without you.” It is hearing a woman tell me, “You changed my life. You saved my life. I don’t know how to thank you.”
Those moments mean more to me than any title, award, or achievement because they remind me that the work I do goes beyond business. Whether through entertainment, mentorship, or emotional health, my greatest fulfillment comes from creating experiences and transformations that people never forget.
