Today we’d like to introduce you to Benj Massaki.
Hi Benj, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into content creation started unexpectedly, but looking back, it feels like it was always part of the vision. I am the founder of Vsion, a clothing brand I started in 2022 in Iowa. The foundation of the brand is simple: everything starts with a vision. That message has always driven me, and it eventually inspired the creation of my second business, Vsion Visuals. One Saturday, I was at home with nothing planned and called my uncle to see what he was doing. He invited me to help out at his brother’s wedding, where his wife was serving as the event planner. While I was there, I began capturing behind-the-scenes footage throughout the day. My original plan was to edit everything after the wedding. During the church ceremony, however, I decided to put together a quick 20 second highlight video and post it to my Instagram Story. I showed the edit to someone nearby, and they were immediately impressed. They told me, “You should start a page for this right now.” Earlier that week, I had already been working on a new logo for my clothing brand. Inspired by the idea, I modified the logo, creating the “VV” mark that now represents Vsion Visuals. Within minutes, I launched a TikTok page and uploaded the wedding video. What happened next surprised me. Within an hour, the video began gaining traction. Guests at the wedding were asking who had posted it and were amazed that a professionally edited video had already been uploaded while the event was still taking place. Before the reception even started, the video had reached over 10,000 views. For me, that moment felt like confirmation from God that I was on the right path. What started as a spontaneous edit became the foundation of a business. Today, Vsion Visuals continues to grow alongside Vsion. While content creation is a major part of what we do, it is only one phase of a much bigger vision. My goal is to build something larger than a brand a creative empire that inspires people to pursue their own dreams and ideas.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s genuine something I have a passion for. It doesn’t feel like a “job” like ugh I have to go create content no. I genuinely look forward to my booked days and some obstacle is obviously getting my self out there both my clothing brand and my content creation. Just growing my business to more and other communities and expanding
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a content creator and founder of Vsion Visuals, a business I officially launched in December. I specialize in creating short form, vertical videos designed for today’s social media platforms. My focus is capturing authentic moments as they happen and delivering content quickly, often allowing clients to relive and share their special moments long before traditional photo and video galleries are completed. While weddings are a large part of what I do, my work goes far beyond wedding days. I also partner with businesses, brands, churches, and organizations to capture behind-the-scenes content, events, promotions, and everyday moments that help tell their story. My passion is preserving memories and creating engaging content that people can connect with. What I am most proud of is being able to help clients see their moments from a different perspective. Whether it’s a couple celebrating their wedding day, a business launching a new product, or an organization hosting a special event, I enjoy turning real moments into content that can be shared and remembered for years to come. What sets me apart is my ability to deliver content quickly without sacrificing creativity. I focus on storytelling, capturing genuine emotions, and creating videos that feel personal rather than staged. Through Vsion Visuals, my goal is not just to record events, but to help people and businesses share their vision with the world.
How do you define success?
I define success by the satisfaction of my clients. While financial growth is important in any business, the most rewarding part of my work is knowing that I have exceeded a client’s expectations and delivered something they truly value. For me, success is seeing a customer relive a special moment through my content, hearing that a video helped a business connect with its audience, or knowing that my work made a lasting impact. Those moments remind me why I started Vsion Visuals in the first place.
