In 2020, when the world came to a standstill and we were all staying home during the pandemic, an idea was born that would change my life forever.
Like many families, we were spending much more time at home, and I wanted to create a warm, cozy atmosphere filled with beautiful fragrances that would bring comfort and peace. However, there was one challenge: my husband is very sensitive to strong scents, and traditional paraffin candles often caused him discomfort.
Determined to find a healthier alternative, I began researching different candle-making materials. After many hours of learning and experimenting, I discovered soy wax—a natural, non-toxic option that is safer for both people and the environment. I fell in love with the idea of creating candles that would not only fill a home with delightful fragrances but also be safe for the families enjoying them.
I initially started making candles simply to fragrance my own home. Soon, I shared what I was creating with a few friends, and their response was immediate: “I want one too! Please send me one to try!”
Throughout that year, I made candles exclusively as gifts while testing, learning, and perfecting every detail. I experimented with different scent combinations and formulas until I achieved the perfect balance—candles capable of filling every room with long-lasting, unforgettable fragrances.
My friends became my first testers and biggest supporters. They were the ones who encouraged me by asking, “Why don’t you sell them?”
During such an uncertain time, I realized that opportunities are often born in life’s most challenging moments. I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion into a business.
That is how DolceCandle333 was born—a brand created with love, purpose, and a desire to bring warmth, wellness, and beautiful fragrances into every home.
Today, years later, my candles continue to reach homes across the country, becoming part of special moments, celebrations, and cherished memories. And it all began with a simple desire to make my own home a healthier and more welcoming place for my family.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but every challenge has been worth it. In the beginning, I spent months testing different ingredients and formulas to create a candle that was both safe for my family and filled a room with beautiful fragrance. There were many failed batches and moments of doubt.
As a self-taught entrepreneur, I also had to learn everything from branding and marketing to packaging and shipping. Balancing family life while building a business was not always easy, but every obstacle made me stronger.
Looking back, those challenges became the foundation of DolceCandle333 and taught me that passion, perseverance, and purpose can turn a simple idea into something meaningful.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I consider myself a creative artist because I love creating meaningful handmade pieces. I specialize in handcrafted, non-toxic soy candles designed to bring warmth and comfort into people’s homes. I am also known for creating personalized crochet amigurumi.
What I am most proud of is that every piece I create is made by hand with love and purpose. What sets me apart is that my creations are not mass-produced—they are thoughtfully designed to create special moments, lasting memories, and a sense of comfort and connection.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I would not be where I am today without the support of my family, friends, and customers. My husband and children are has been one of my biggest supporters from the very beginning, encouraging me to pursue my passion and believing in my vision. My friends were my very first testers—they tried my candles, gave honest feedback, and encouraged me to turn my hobby into a business.
I am also incredibly grateful to my customers. Their trust, kind words, and continued support have allowed DolceCandle333 to grow over the years. Every order, recommendation, and message of encouragement has played an important role in my journey.
