Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Stacy Page.
Hi Dr. Stacy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been passionate about helping people and knew that I wanted a career where I could help others with personal growth and wellbeing. I began my career in mental health in 2006 when I enrolled in a clinical psychology doctoral program at Argosy University. After graduating with my doctorate degree, I began working in behavioral health where I provided mental health, substance use, and coaching services to individuals across a variety of clinical settings. After practicing in the field and seeing the increase in mental health conditions and substance use issues in the community, I knew it was time for me to pursue my dream of owning a private practice. In 2024, Dr. Edna Foster, Dr. Dieudra Calhoun, and I started Reflections of Reality Therapy and Consulting, PLLC, which is a private practice that provides behavioral health services.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road and I encountered obstacles along the way. There were times when I was pursuing my goals and something unexpectedly would occur. These setbacks were very disheartening and frustrating, but I did not let them deter me from giving up. I kept praying, working, and stayed focused on my goals. I was not going to let anyone or anything prevent me from achieving my goals and living out my dreams.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a licensed psychologist, licensed chemical dependency counselor, certified professional coach, college professor, inspirational speaker, and published author. I have a multidisciplinary background spanning mental health, substance use, criminal justice, law, education, and management. I am currently a Professor of Social Work at Dallas College, associate faculty at Amberton University, and co-owner of Reflections of Reality Therapy and Consulting, PLLC.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and both a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University.
In addition to my professional roles, I actively serve in church ministry, volunteer in the community, and serve on the board of directors for nonprofit organizations. I am most proud of my academic and professional accomplishments and being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned along my journey is to stay focused on God and trust His plan for my life. God knows what is best for me and He has divinely orchestrated the affairs and details of my life. By following His plan, I will live out my purpose, fulfill my unique calling, and walk confidently in the destiny He has designed for me.
