Hi Emily & Norma, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
During our last year of college ball, we came to realize that we didn’t want our careers to end just yet. We knew if we pushed and dedicated ourselves even further to the sport, that it could lead to future opportunities. We weren’t certain of it, but went ahead and tried to prevent any regrets. Soon enough, we went viral on TikTok. Social media was one of the biggest doors to open for us. From filming fun engaging content, to getting selected by Burnley Fc to play in the 7v7 1 million $ soccer tournament, then shortly after moving to Europe to play professional soccer in Germany, we knew that all our hard work and dedication had paid off. That is what we are all about, helping and encouraging athletes to get out there and put in work. You never know if you don’t try. With faith, passion and persistency, you will never fail!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been the smoothest of roads, but we are out here betting on ourselves and hungry for more! I would say being consistent and staying disciplined would be considered a struggle. No one is forcing us to do this, we do it simply because we love, and want to do it. It makes us happy knowing that we could help others who were in our same positions once. We know how it feels to not have any connections. That was one of the biggest encounters starting off. Also, sacrificing quality family and friend time was also a challenge. Especially when moving to a different side of the world.
One of my favorite quotes from Nelson Mandela reads ” I never lose. I either win or learn”. This quote is gold and constantly repeat when facing obstacles.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a pair of two hard working talented athletes better known as Enfutbol. What sets us apart from others? Well, we are one of the only women duo soccer content creators on TikTok. We focus on soccer, fitness, and are known many things like, our partner training videos, educational tips, & sharing knowledgeable information to our audience!
We are extremely proud of the impact that we have made on our viewers. With daily messages of people thanking us for our tips/content or asking us for advice, nothing beats that feeling of helping someone improve and answering their questions with confidence. We are proud to show others our passion for the game, our dedication, and proud on how well we engage with a passionate and growing community of soccer fans on our social medias! Very thankful for it all.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Many people don’t know that we didn’t actually meet until college, but played against each other when we were younger. In fact, our teams were big rivals. We knew of each other, but didn’t become friends until college. Another thing people might be unaware of, is our height. We are on the shorter side but our skills and level of play definitely make up for it!
