Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Muse.
Erica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Erica Muse (born Erica Long in Dallas, Texas) is an American actress known for her work across film, voice-over, commercials, and print. Raised in the suburbs of Dallas, she began performing at the age of five in Christmas musicals and stepped onto her first film set at fifteen, marking the start of a multifaceted career in the entertainment industry.
Driven by a deep connection to storytelling, Muse has built a body of work that reflects both emotional depth and versatility. Her passion for acting is rooted in the belief that stories have the power to connect, heal, and inspire-offering audiences a space to laugh, learn, and feel.
A survivor of a traumatic abduction in 2015, Muse channels her personal resilience into her craft, finding purpose in bringing meaningful narratives to life. Beyond the screen, she is known for her love of fan culture and community, frequently attending events and conventions-a tradition she has embraced since 2006. She remains committed to fostering inclusive, welcoming spaces for fans and creatives alike. Culminating in opening the doors to her own studio, Audisation, to help others.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not exactly, but nothing shy of what’s to be expected in a competitive field like entertainment. Ran into my fair share of gatekeepers or people pretending to know the answers, but I came from working in sales, so I was used to getting 90% no. Makes it a lot easier to hang in there and keep trying. After what I’ve been though, I have to believe that I can still do anything I put my mind to. To channel all that energy into something good, and show anyone else who’s been there, that it doesn’t hold any power over us if we don’t let it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an actress, currently known for my work in voice over, commercials, and independent horror films, but working across genres and mediums to tell stories. I’ve also compiled advice over the years to share with others pursuing the same field, as part of a firm belief that there is a place for everyone with the ambition to claim it. I am proud of myself every time something I do lights a spark in someone else. The world can’t have too many sparks. It can have too few. A fair share of my experiences probably sets me apart from others in a sense, but everyone has their own experiences that it isn’t fair to compare. It would be silly to say I’m really all that different. I’m just trying to help everyone see that so they’re easier on themselves and each other.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Lighting sparks in others. Getting hired is just a bonus.
