Conversations with Maria Cole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Cole.

Hi Maria, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We started our journey after completing a coconut water cleanse together. After the cleanse, we naturally felt drawn to lighter, more vibrant foods and began exploring the raw vegan lifestyle more deeply. We spent hours researching, experimenting in the kitchen, and recreating foods we loved in a fresh, plant-based way. Over time, what started as a personal wellness journey grew into a passion for creating beautiful raw meals, teaching others, and building a community centered around healing, creativity, and conscious living. Today, through our classes, recipes, and online community, we share the lifestyle that transformed us with people around the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. One challenge was learning how to create raw foods that were both nourishing and genuinely satisfying, especially when recreating comfort foods and flavors we grew up loving. Since raw living was unfamiliar to many people around us at the time, we had to spend a lot of time experimenting, researching, and trusting our own experience.

Another challenge was staying consistent while raising a family and continuing to evolve personally and creatively. Over time, though, those experiences helped us grow, refine our craft, and create a lifestyle and community that feels authentic to who we are.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in creating flavorful, creative raw vegan foods and helping make raw living feel approachable, satisfying, and inspiring. What began as a personal wellness journey grew into a passion for developing recipes, hosting classes, and building community around healing through food.

I’m known for recreating comforting and culturally inspired dishes in a raw vegan way while still focusing on freshness, beauty, and flavor. Through classes, recipe books, cleanses, and online community, we aim to show people that raw food can be vibrant, nourishing, and enjoyable rather than restrictive.

What sets us apart is the combination of artistry, flavor, and intention we bring into everything we create. We focus not only on health, but also on making raw foods feel exciting, abundant, and full of life.
