Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Moormann
Hi Sabrina , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Texas from Germany 16 years ago. In Germany I was an Elementary School teacher and I loved doing photography in my free time. I even had my own darkroom. In Texas I turned my Hobby into my profession. I went to college for photography classes and did a lot of Weddings and Family sessions, before I started specializing in newborn and maternity photography. In the beginning, I took a lot of newborn and materniity photography related trainings and workshops to help me learn how to safely pose newborns in studio lighting and so much more. Now, I offer workshops and trainings to photographers who would like to specialize in that field too. I have photographed hundreds of babies and pregnant women. This time in our lives is something we need to capture to remember forever!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Over the 16 years I had to learn a lot and invest a lot into what I love to do. But in the end it was all worth it. I just love what I do every day!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in maternity and newborn photography. The most important objective for all of my sessions is that my clients will receive the best experience when doing their session with me, and I think my Google reviews reflect that. My clients will be in a relaxing environment where they don’t have to worry about anything. I will take care of everything we will need for my sessions. All sessions include a consultation where we will go over everything in person. I will provide all newborn outfits and accessesories, and I own the most gorgeous maternity gowns for mom’s maternity session. Even gowns for siblings.
I am a very experienced photographer and have photographed hundreds of babies within the last 16 years. Newborn safety is my top priority. I love creating beautiful images for my clients that are meaningful to them. So, I love to include something that is special to their family. That can be certain outfits for movie characters such as Harry Potter or Spiderman, professions like Nurses or Pilots, and even favorite brands like Gucci or Starbucks. I really love to create a one of a kind image just for them.
My maternity sessions are usually done in studio. I provide Hair and Make up and the most beautiful gowns for my clients. All images are hand edited by me and will take your breath away! I also offer pool side maternity and underwater maternity sessions as an add on to my in studio maternity sessions. This is another beautiful way to showcase moms’ bellies in a creative way!
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
It took me a long time to learn what I know where I am now. My advice is to learn from someone who’s art you admire. If you love my work, just reach out and I will teach you what I learned over the last 16 years.
