Hi Amudat, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From as early on as I could remember, I have had a great “passion for fashion.” People’s clothing, hairstyles, shoes and accessories would always stand out to me. I would put outfits together with the intention of not wanting to look like anyone else. It was a form of art for me; the way I expressed myself, my mood, and as time went on, I realized that not everyone could imagine outfits in their heads like me. Lol. Then I noticed people were interested in me because of it, then that made me even more excited. Lol. So it was only right that I started a boutique wherein I felt I could make affordable, stylish clothing and accessories available for all women. I wanted to use my boutique as a platform to assist women in combining outfits that would make them look amazing and build their confidence level when they enter any room.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been a few struggles for sure. I currently source designs from Los Angeles USA, China and Nigeria. The real challenge has been with vendors in other countries: the time difference is a barrier to smooth communication, and sometimes they send you the wrong merchandise, bad quality or wrong sizes, which u cannot necessarily send back because of international shipping costs. So u count it as a loss and move on.

Online boutique owner. We provide affordable and stylish clothing and accessories to women with the goal of building their self-esteem and confidence level. We currently stock both contemporary clothing as well also cultural African Ankara clothing, which I feel is something that sets our boutique apart from others.
