Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandie Pyburn.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey has been one of faith, resilience, healing, and purpose. I started from a place of brokenness, navigating life through betrayal, hardships, grief, and many seasons where I questioned what God was doing in my life. Through every challenge, I learned that pain can either destroy you or develop you and I chose to let God develop me.
Over the years, I have worn many hats: author, publisher, pastor, spiritual leader, mentor, podcast, radio, tv host, and founder of Sisterhood Through God’s Plan Ministries, Inc. None of it came easy. Much of what I do today was birthed through pressure, prayer, and perseverance. I have experienced personal loss, blended family challenges, ministry warfare, and moments where I had to rebuild myself while still encouraging others.
Education also became an important part of my journey. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with Human Resources graduating Cum Laude, and I am continuing my studies in ministry and pastoral care while pursuing higher levels of leadership and spiritual development.
What brought me to where I am today is my commitment to truth, transparency, and serving people authentically. I believe God called me not just to preach, but to help people heal, grow, and recognize their purpose. Whether through ministry, writing, teaching, counseling, or community outreach, my goal has always been to impact lives and create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Today, I continue to build, lead, and pour into others while trusting God with every next step of my journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. My journey has come with many struggles, both personally and professionally. I have faced betrayal from people I trusted, challenges within ministry, financial pressures, grief, heartbreak, and seasons where I felt misunderstood and overlooked. There were moments when I questioned whether I was strong enough to keep going.
One of the biggest challenges was learning how to lead while healing. I have had to pour into others even during times when I was emotionally exhausted myself. Balancing ministry, family life, education, leadership responsibilities, and personal growth has not always been easy especially while raising and blending a family and navigating major life transitions.
In ministry, I also learned quickly that calling does not exempt you from criticism, rejection, or spiritual warfare. Sometimes the very places you expect support are where you encounter the most resistance. That was difficult for me because my heart has always genuinely been to help people and serve with authenticity.
At the same time, those struggles shaped me. They taught me resilience, humility, discernment, and dependence on God. Every setback strengthened my faith and reminded me that purpose is often built in difficult seasons. Looking back now, I can honestly say the hard moments were preparing me for the work I am doing today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an author, publisher, ministry leader, mentor, speaker, and founder of Sisterhood Through God’s Plan Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on empowering, healing, and restoring individuals through faith, leadership, education, and community outreach. My work centers around helping people heal emotionally and spiritually while also encouraging them to walk boldly in their purpose.
I specialize in pastoral care, youth mentorship, spiritual leadership, women’s empowerment, marriage counseling, teaching biblical truth, and creating safe spaces for transparent conversations about faith, trauma, identity, and growth. I am also passionate about leadership development and helping others discover their voice and calling through ministry, writing, conferences, and community initiatives.
Many people know me for my transparency. I do not believe in pretending to have a perfect life or ministry. I openly share my journey, including the struggles, grief, betrayal, healing, and lessons that shaped me. That honesty has allowed people to connect with me on a deeper level because they know my message comes from lived experience, not just theory.
One of the things I am most proud of is building platforms and opportunities that uplift others, not just myself. Whether it is through my books, podcast, ministry work, teaching, or conferences, my goal has always been to create impact that extends beyond me. I am also proud of continuing to pursue education and growth while balancing family, ministry, leadership, and personal healing.
What sets me apart is my authenticity, resilience, and ability to lead with both compassion and truth. I understand brokenness, rebuilding, and perseverance firsthand, which allows me to minister and lead from a place of empathy and wisdom. I believe people are drawn not just to my accomplishments, but to my willingness to remain genuine, teachable, and faithful through every season of life.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising that many people may not know about me is that while I often lead, encourage, and pour into others publicly, I have had to fight many private battles quietly. A lot of the strength people see today was built during seasons where I was grieving, rebuilding, doubting myself, and learning how to survive emotionally and spiritually at the same time.
Another thing people may not realize is that I am naturally very reflective and observant. Even though I speak boldly and lead publicly, I spend a lot of time in prayer, studying, writing, and processing life deeply behind the scenes. Some of my greatest messages, books, and teachings were birthed from journals, painful experiences, and moments where I felt completely alone.
People are sometimes surprised to learn that I did not come from a “perfect” path into leadership or ministry. Everything I teach comes from real-life experience, lessons, failures, healing, and growth. I think that is why people connect so strongly with my work because they can feel the authenticity behind it.
I also believe many people would be surprised by how much I genuinely enjoy helping others win, even behind the scenes without recognition. Building people, mentoring, and creating opportunities for others brings me just as much fulfillment as any personal accomplishment or title ever could.
